It will be a very good game. If Ep comes prepared the outcome will be in their favor.
Prediction:
Ep 4
Edina 2

Edina can't win the BIG Games, the Games that count.
Is it individual vs. team play or coaching issues?
Edina netminders are solid when a "team" plays in front of them.
What is that common saying, "there is no I in TEAM."

goalies play good when a teams in front of them well they tied edina white when white out shot them and had a goal that might not have gone in playing without there captain losing a D in the middle of the game and having to finish the rest with 3 D but yea your diffinitly right

Sorry! Are you referring to Bantam A or Bantam B1. This post, I think refers to the Bantam A level. If I'm mistaken and it is B1, again sorry!
Had a good sightline, the goal wasn't in, directly off the post and out. The refs were out of position and called it a goal.

Sotahockey couldnt agree with you more. EP is a dominate team, Edina is not.

I feel that either team has a good chance to win. i played edina and felt they had more talent than us but didn't want the win. if edina wants it they might pull out a close win

E.P. 3
Edina 1
It was a very fun game to watch because it had a very high pace. The reffing was not great as they missed a number of blatant calls. Taft was gone for Edina and the coach got kicked out in the third period for talking to the reff.

Where was Taft? Big game to be missing there best player. Did they lose there HEP point because of coach's penalty?

What was the Edina coach yelling about?

Yes, Edina will lose their fair play point because of the coach's ejection. The three stipulations to keeping your FPP are 1) no fan ejections, 2) no coach ejections and 3) staying under the allotted penalty minutes allowed.
Coach was yelling because the monster hit at the blue line by the EP defenseman looked from his vantage point at the bench like a check to the head, but no call was made. Any time a player does a backwards cartwheel like that because of a hit, everyone automatically assumes penalty. It was so fast and so hard that it was difficult to tell, but I didn't see arms extend or the hit be directed at the head. Not sure which of us it right, but that was his point. He certainly didn't get ejected for "talking" to the ref.
Every ref will miss some calls, but all-in-all wasn't a horribly officiated game and it wasn't over-officiated, which can ruin a good matchup. Many more missed calls in the B1 game beforehand, which actually helped make it a good, close game.

I think calling more penalties on both sides would have made this a better game from the players standpoint.
The hit was at the blue line and a very nice play by Thompson, but being a good 6 inches taller than the kid who received the hit, it was to the head and his hands looked like they were up from my point of view.

Taft was out with the flu which is a big disadvantage for Edina. Both teams wanted this game very badly, and neither team dominated the other. Meyers made some unbelievable saves for EP which kept them at a lead. Edina struggled in front of their own net and that is how EP capitalized on all of their goals. It was a very back and forth game, and it should be fun to see what happens in district playoffs, as these two teams are very equal.
Had Edina's coach not been ejected, Edina would have tied with EP for regualr season district 6 champions. Although, I'm not sure how the tiebreaker rule works...EP may have come out on top because they had 15 wins and Edina had 13.
