I'm confused, does that mean Brainerd deserves some credit when they're sitting of their hands in a month watching these teams in St. Paul. :D I know it must get quite lonely way up in dem nordern plains.

The elks at home, playing great hockey as of late.

Schwartz will have a classic 'off-night', the story of his season.

Elks 6
Blaine 2

Sorry BS, but I'll pass this time. I know when to choose my battles.

And T_S, I like how you finally admit that 'nerd won't be going anywhere in 7AA.

This should be a good game and I honestly do not know who to take in this one....First off Blaine needs to come out and take out the Crimson tomorrow before even worrying about playing the Elks on Saturday. So I wont make any predictions on a score or outcome until after tomorrow.

Luckily for the bengals, if Aus stays consistent (hah) with his recent pattern, it will be Hollerud in net for Blaine on Sat., but who knows the way he coaches. How many "off-nights" do you get before you are considered a poor netminder?

they always are great at home cuz sarslund has the refs around his finger....ill take ER in this one by 2 or more...they're just too physical for blaine

"they're just too physical for blaine"

??? You should think about watching both teams play before you comment on them.

You make it sound like the Bengals had to prove themselves to be able to stick with the Elks. Don't forget, they are leading the conference and have already beaten them once this year. However, it is probably a good thing if they have a little underdog mentality.

Being the underdog, playing the underdog role is nothing new, I swear the majority of the sports world in the twin cities never fairly gives repsect where it is due. Blaine teams always seem to have to prove themselves and even when they do they still seem to get the short shift in terms of respect from the media and the know it alls all around. With that said, I am gonna call a close game a goal either way in terms of deciding this game. Its true it is at Elk River and we know how hostile that can be. Hollerud showed up and played last night and scored the shut out, so hopefully he can keep that mindset for tomorrow nights battle. Blaine won 5-4 last time and I am going to go Blaine 5-4 in this one also.

Hollerud has been playing real well my Bengal friend which is why Aus figures it's time to switch it up for this big game. Shwartz is getting the start tomorrow. :? If he single-handedly loses this game like he did against Centennial the "Fire Aus" sign is coming out of the closet.

Bigsexy - so from my little opportunities to watch the Bengals play this year the coach if I hear you right Aus gets a hot goal tender and than when it counts and could really use him decides that its best to take him out? Is that what you are hinting at? In that case I would completly agree bring out those signs even with the sucess he has had in the last few years.

Well we haven't really had a hot goalie until now, their is a long list of reasons that I am not fond of him (I'm definately not alone). The fact that he is giving Shwartz another chance is beyond me. If I were to take a guess at his thought process, I'm sure the fact that Hollerud has not been put into a high pressure situation is why he is not starting. However, he is our best goalie and deserves his chance to prove it in a big game. We will need him in the postseason, so throw him out there, let Big Thurst and the ER fans tear him up, he'll make a few big saves maybe even win the game and most importantly will have some big game experience under his belt.

Bengals > Elks
