The (11-12) Packers host the (13-10) Titans tomorrow night. The first time they met the Titans got shut out at home. This game also has conference meaning. They are both tied at 7-7 with only two conference games left. The win would at least give the Packers the for sure #5 spot and a possibility for as high as #3 if they win their last game depending on what others do. The Packers are on a two game with streak while the Titans are on a two game lose streak.

With the suspenions for Tartan it will be difficult for them to win. Only having two defensemen they will struggle. They will need a huge game from Wood

Yes Tartan will be shorthanded, and hopefully they will lose because of how dumb they are for getting themselves booted for another game. but they will actually have 3 D because i heard earlier that Jake Glass can play for the first time in 2 weeks

On this one, I am thinking...

South St. Paul - 3
Tartan - 2

If Tartan's going to salvage anything from the mess their season has become, they better start now.

Tartan - 5
SSP -1

(I hope I'm wrong)

Chalk one up for Zamboni Guy. Final:

SSP - 3
Tartan - 2

They've lost 6 of their last 7. Stick a fork in 'em. I'm starting to think that my predicition of a first round loss to Hastings may not be that far fetched.

The packers game winning goal was scored by a fourth liner. Breakaway and sniped Woods upper shelf, glove side. Packers won 3-2 and move to fifth in conference.

i noticed ssp has some quality underclassmen, and not much comes from their seniors

any ssp players have some info about if the program is back on the rise to the good old days or is it just kind of in the dumps from now on.....

i also heard the youth hockey doesn't even play A's anymore and they combined with IGH???

I wouldnt count them out... they have been playing good just a bit off, they out played SSP most of the game but are just having a hard time finishing on goals.. as seen with north st.paul 2-1 with more than enough chances. The final goal was tipped off the defenses stick... they also only had two defensman the last 3 games.. because of misconducts and injuries and have had forwards playing defense. They will be full strength minus one D for sections.

There are only 3 seniors on the team this year. There are 14 Juniors, most of them will return for next season also, and there are 5 Sophomores on the varsity roster with 6 more on the JV roster and all of them will have enough talent to be in the top five lines next season. They also have one freshman who is doing very well on JV and has an assist on varsity, he is a fourthliner.

Only the bantams have combined with IGH, which is in my eyes a very good thing. Not only will it let the better players compete at the level they are good enough for, but it will make the SSP/Simley games a lot more interesting. They already are with alot of kids going to SSP or Simley in open enrollment from the other city, but when all the kids know eachother it will make that an interesting game every year no matter what there records are.
