Hello Everyone,
As we are now entering the middle of the winter hockey season, it is once again that time of year to start thinking about Summer hockey. More specificly Comet Hockey. As we embarck on our fourth season of opperation we are looking to improve on our '06' season which turned out to be a banner year in many ways. Our 90 team which has been with us from the start put up an empressive mark of 14-8-1 in 5 tournaments. (Which included 1 championship in Ottawa, 2 second place finishes in Toronto, and a 1 loss performance at the Jr Chowder cup with their only loss comeing at the hands of the tournament champions. This season has also been a success for many current and former Comet players. As we now have 10 former Comets on Junior rosters, many of which are playing key rolls in their teams success. Also, almost all of our former players this year steped up to compete at the midget AAA level in some form. (You will be able to find information on past players on our website in the coming weeks in the where are they now section). This year we will be partaking in some new adventures including a mixed 89/90 team which will be playing in the nations top tournaments including 1 or 2 Junior A/B tournaments. We will also be experiencinga youth movement as we will be fielding a 92 team which may once again try to continue the Comet tradition of impressive showings at the Jr Chowder Cup.
