Who do you think is the best goalie in the WCHA? What are his positives? What are his negatives in the way he plays?

Briggs play this year has earned him a spot in this conversation, but there is one notable omission in Glen Fisher, the other half of the Denver goalie tandem. Zaba should probably be on there as well.
I voted Elliot, I think he is the goalie most capable of carrying his team to victory.

I definately think that the best goalie in the WCHA is Brian Elliot at Wisconsin. As much as I dislike the Bagers, this guy is unreal. What he did last season was pretty sick. He showed what can happen in playoff hockey when your goalie gets hot, as he carried Wisconsin to the National Championship and, in my opinion, should have won the Hobey Baker.
Stalock at UMD is one of my favorite goalies to watch, his style of play is very exciting; however, he is only a freshman this season and is still becoming accustumed to the speed of play in the best league in college hockey. He will be something to watch in the future, UMD got a good one when he chose to make Duluth his stop before professional hockey.

Josh Johnson has been playing pretty well for the Bulldogs lately... Nice to see him get the start in both games this weekend. Too bad the Dogs can't score.

No contest? Well, I might as well shut down the thread! It's decided!
But, um, no. He's fifth in the league in GAA, and
way behind Elliott and Goepfert in saves pct.
I'd vote for Elliott. Without him, the Badgers are down there with the Dogs.

Well obviously not, when he almost lost to Anchorage.

If you watched any games this weekend you would have seen a goalie clinic in UMD vs. SCSU

Kellen Briggs is a decent goalie with an unreal team in front of him. If he were the goalie for SCSU, tack another 4 or 5 losses on to their record.

Ya it was awesome, Johnson and Goepfert were dominant. Were you at the game?

Yes.I couldn't believe the number of great safe, lucky saves and pipes that were hit. Other than HS State Tourney-this is second to none in atmosphere

Ya, to bad they had to lose. There losing some good players. When ever Josh got to play, he played great, he broke some records. There losing a great goalie.
