The (20-2-3) Royals of Rogers will be playing the (10-14-1) Rebels of Champlin Park to see who gets to play Blaine. On paper Rogers has this one in the bag, being ranked way above Champlin Park everywhere, not to mention the records. Who will take it?

not to mention they play in the mississippi 8 conference...what a joke champlin is coming off a huge win against MG. the game is technically a home game for champlin since its at champlin.
Champlin is (10-14-1) after last night
Meyers, Grandner, and Herzog will go over 100 this game and i take the rebels....4-2

If you want to talk about a joke, how bout tying North Metro at 2-2 the other night?
Rogers can't affect their conference. And I recall someone from that joke conference beating Duluth East recently, or am I just making that up?

I don't know a lot about Rogers. I know they have Nick Jensen but thats it. And the North Metro game was a fluke...should have been a win but the NM goalie played a great game. I take the Rebels in this, because they are coming off of a big Saturday night win.
Champlin Park:3
Rogers:2

I'm going with Rogers. Kupka may be the best unknown goalie in the Metro. Jensen has to be the best skilled sophomore defenseman in the state.
Rogers 5
Champlin 2

I sure hope Rogers can pull this game off, but Champlin park is going to be one of the best teams Rogers has played this year with the exception of Buffalo. I really think it depends on what Champlin team shows up to play. Ill go 3-2 Rogers thanks to kupka.

This should be an excellent game of hockey. I wish I didn't have prior engagements or I would attend the event. I will say Rogers wins by 2, and also upsets Blaine in the next game.

I can't say I have seen Rogers play but dont give up on Champlin they played hard both times I saw them. The Northwest Suburban Conference will also have prepared them well. I'll go Champlin 4 Rogers 2.
Jaeger is the difference

The Junior line of Champlin Park will be tuff to contain at home. Rogers schedule did not help them in the seedings or prepare them for a playoff run. After the 5A or 4AA fiasco, the Royals will be haunted with "What could have been?" Rebels 5, Royals 1. Jaeger saves 23.

Don't know much about Champlin Park, but if they tied North Metro, they can't be very good. I'll go with Rogers by a 4-0 score, especially if Champlin just upset MG, they'll have a letdown. Rogers will likely surprise Blaine also, look for a possible upset in that game.

OK Royals ya know Thursday's the day..
That ya start to make your name in 4AA!!
We know it won't be easy up against the home crowd,
So just go right out there and make your CNT proud.
Make sure ya come out hittin, and your power play rocks,
Cause we all know that the Rebels spend a ton of time in the box.
The forecheck, the backcheck, and the hip checks too,
Ya just need to show em all what you can do.
Now CNT's been talkin bout ya all year long,
So just go out and show em that I ain't been wrong!
Little pep rhyme there for ya boys.....Good luck...Great season! Keep it going!
Go Royals!!

HOFamer is on this bandwagon as well. Show these pompous NWSC that your for real. Jensen and Scat buck up and take it over...you can do it.
CP vs. Rogers

This will be a fun game to watch tonight...CP is much better at the Forum than on the road and just beat MG...while Rogers also plays home games on an Olympic size ice sheet...Rogers has an excellent head coach (Tim M.) and Jensen is ta great player, he will lead Rogers...while the Herzog, Meyers and Grander line is especially effective on the larger sheet...the outcocme will ultimately come down to a the goaltenders, Jaeger & Kuppka...both are very good.
A chance for Rogers to make a statement ON THE ICE...vs. NWSC competition...that's what will earn them seeding respect in future years.
PS: the competition in the M8 conference isweaK compared to the NWSC..the top scorer 5 scorers in the NWSC (Brodhag, Baudette, Lynch, O'Neill & Wentland - all 45-50 point regular season totals - would have scored between 70 - 90 points playing the M8 schedule...by comparison Chumley had over 70 points and all those mentioned above (except Wentland) scored significantly more points than Chumley on the Team NW Elite team this past fall.

Yea CHumley was a was different player in the Elite league ask any of his teamates. He was a role player that set up the scorers and shutting down the oppositions top line. I think he was on a line with Mellum and some kid from warroad. BUt CHUmley is a quality player and would judt as many points as those other guys if he played in the NWSC. Have to remember that he also has zero help on his team
