Big series this weekend who does everyone like?

This series took a notch down with the gophs opening up a 7 point lead last weekend. There is no way I see the huskies letting the gophers clinch on their rink. Huskies win big on Friday! Gophers come back on Saturday and clinch at home in a tight one.

St.Cloud needs to win some big games to lock up a #1 seed . They sit at #4 in the rpi. Fall to a #2 seed and it probably gets them playing a #3 seeded Michigan in the first round of the NCAA in Michigan.

I'll say the Gophers take 3 points. SCSU is coming off a bad weekend against Wisconsin and Minnesota is playing good hockey over the last 4, all on the road. I think they're gonna be motivated for this series after the 2 tie weekend early in the year.

It's late February and time for Jan Brady State's annual swoon. Image

Gophers take at least three points this weekend and skate around the National Concrete Center with the McNaughton Cup. :P

They probably won't skate around with it. It would be a shame to have the batteries tossed from the SCSU student section dent it. :D

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone here is now dumber for having read that.

Is that a complete thought?

Yep, he's gonna sweep up all the dead gophers and use them again next year.

It would be nice to see SCSU ride this momentum into tomorrows game and come away with a sweep and then take that into the UND series cuz they definitely looked liked a title contender tonight.

I can tell from the mug shot of Ryan Lasch that he is no babe magnet. He looks like a weasel that was thrown in a bucket of bleach. I've seen better looking staplers. That boy is butt ugly!

I haven't been too impressed with my gophs since Christmas. Is it possible we have a couple guys looking ahead to big pay checks later this spring? This team looked much better when the 5 hot shots were gone.

Goaltending was not the problem last night. Frazee did not play well, but SCSU simply outskated the Gophs. The Huskies needed and wanted a win more badly and they earned it. Hopefully the Gophers come back with a better effort tonight, I can't imagine them not bringing one at Mariucci with a chance to clinch the McNaughton.

What was the deal with Vanelli last night? I guess I never thought he was very good. But then this year he really gained my respect. Last night, however, he was a hack. It seemed more like he was trying to play football.

Erik Johnson didn't play well last night, he'll have a better game tonight. The Gophers just looked a little slow last night. You could tell they were the more talented team, they just don't seem to have the heart that the Huskies do.

Not going to be able to see tonight's game. I'll have to tape it.

Vannelli was not good last night, there's really no arguing that. I was like you, not a fan of Vannelli his freshman and sophomore years, but these past two years he really brought his game to the next level, but last night was bad.

Fischer was easily the best defenseman for the Gophers last night, but they need Goligoski, EJ, and Vannelli to be those guys at this point of the year.

St. Cloud is tough because they have depth, experience, and goaltending. Goepfert was outstanding last night.

Ever since Christmas this gophers team looks as if they've lost their fire to play intense hockey. They may say all the right things to the cameras but they just keep getting out worked night after night. I hate to say it but I see another 1 and done in the NCAA tourny. And right now there play deserves it. Its frustrating to watch.

The goaltending was very weak last night.
