What are your guys' thoughts? Is Air Force the 2007 version of Holy Cross? Do they stand any chance at all? Hate 'em but gotta take 'em in this one............

They definitely stand a chance. They played CC, Denver, and Notre Dame tough early in the year. After last year and seeing how games have unfolded today I wouldn't be surprised by anything. That said, I think the Gophs will be ready for this one after last year's 1st round upset.

Air Force has played some good teams tough, but hasn't been able to score, losing 2-1 to Denver and CC, and 2-0 to Notre Dame. Goaltending hasn't been the Gophers strong point this season, yes I know the stats, but the two guys have been very good to border line terrible at different times this year. I think it will be high scoring, 6-4 Minnesota.

Gophers 5
Air Force 2
I think it will be tight early on- Minnesota pulls away late.
Might not be easy to shake off last years loss. I hope that didn't start a trend. They definately look better going in now than last year. Go Gophers

Goligoski has a finger injury that may limit his injuries and effectiveness today. Bad news for the Gophers, hopefully the rest of the D-core steps up, this team can't afford any more injuries.

1-0 Air Force after 1. I'm thinking Frazee might be the 2nd period goalie.

This game will be a gut check for the Gophs. It's not easy to win when you have to. And they definately have to win.
