Yea yea.....I know I am probably gonna get ripped on a bit for the whole golf thing, but I figured there must be some golf guys on here. Anyone care to share anything they know about this years teams? Or the top players? etc.

If you dont have anything good to say about the game of golf at all then dont bother posting on this thread.

I've heard that Brainerd has put together a solid team this year.

White Bear lost a pretty good golfer when Jake Hansen left to play hockey in the USHL.

Detroit Lakes won a tournament @ the Lakeview Course, beating Brainerd by one shot. They are missing one of their best players, Ben Bergquist, because of injury. Their #1 player Josh Herzog lost in a playoff for medalist to Grand Rapids' Ben Cahill.

Detroit Lakes, Eagen, Brainerd, Grand Rapids, and Moorhead are all good teams.

The big Grand-Slam tournament @ Pokegama and Eagle Ridge is this weekend.

Those rankings are all skewed...not every team/player sends scores in, and most of the time the people who send in the scores only send the good ones.

Isn't that how HS golf works? Don't teams only send their top three scores in a given tournament?

Well, teams take the top 4 scores of the 6 players on the team in a given meet, but I was talking about these individual 'standings', because an indiviual gets ranked statewide by sending their scores in, but not everyone sends their scores in, and most people who do send thier scores in only send in their good scores, which skews the true scoring average and ranking.
