Boston College coach Tom Mutch has resigned as head coach at Boston College . Coach Mutch will pursue another interest out side of college hockey.

I've been following the story all afternoon. Quite the scandal and very unfortunate. Unacceptable behavior. I wish the best for the players and hope they can pull it together and move on.

I cannot believe the released her name! That seem very unethical... BC will bounce back and be a force to recon with again. Does anyone know what is going to happen to Ms. Thunstrom, or Johnson? Or about the incoming recruits they got?

With no formal knowlodge on it my expectation is little would change, I can not imagine a scenareo which would not place Katey King in the drivers seat for assuming the head position. A very worthy choice I might add. Katey did a significant amount of the recruiting anyway and was intimatly involved with day to day activities. This is an unfortunate situation for everyone and for womens hockey in general.

At the end of the article it states that Anna McDonald has asked to be released from the team.

Unreal! I wonder if more players will ask to leave after this?!?

I had heard before this happened with Tom Mutch resigning that Anna McDonald was coming back to Minnesota and play on the University of Minnesota team. It was a rumor earlier, but this article seems to solidify it.

Yeah I knew about Anna. I also heard a rumor that Anna got releases to Dartmouth and Harvard as well as the U. Any confirmation on this? or is it for sure that she is going to the U?

Now that Mutch is gone, and the incident was apparently the reason she wanted out, one has to wonder if she will stay.
