With the way Torii is playing right now, and his contract being up at the end of the year do you think the Twins are going to resign him, or is he going to want too much $.

The Twins will try to resign him. He is currently hitting in the top 8 in the AL and has produced very much this year. If he can do this for 6 months, I believe he will become too expensive. However, if he can keep this pace up, and get some help, the Twins are WS contenders.

I have a feeling this will be Torii's last year wearing a Twins uniform. He is going to want a huge pay increase and Carl Polad won't give it to him. Polad is a tight wad and always will be.

Torri's going to want too much money. He's going to want more than his current contract offers him, and the Twins aren't going to be able to afford that and Torri really isn't worth 16-18 mil per year.

If they cant keep Hunter, then shut the place down.

We have agreed to help build them a new ballpark, which I support. We show up 2 million plus strong to watch them.

The TV ratings are excellent. They have a new Radio deal.

Sign Hunter or get out of the business.

The Twins are on the edge of becoming a bad team, much like last season. Losing Hunters presense in the Club House will only make that worse, Morneau isn't a leader, he's a pouter, White is too injury prone and Mauer just isn't that type of player.

They should have locked Torii up this past off season because barring injury he's going to be a lot more expensive this off season. Carl found a way to keep Puckett here, he found a way to keep Hrbek here, he needs to find a way to keep Hunter here. Letting him go will be an embarrassment to the francise, but the group running the Twins seems more concerned with the bottom line than the fans at anyrate.

Luckily for me the AL Central teams I can listen to on the radio at night are in 2nd and 3rd place. It really sucks to lose the Twins signal at sunset, that didn't happen with WCCO.
