Let me guess. You are from Roseau and you have some inside information like all associations north of St. Cloud will combine into one and they will call that team Roseau and because there is only one team up north, they will be the only team in regions, which means they have a 50-50 chance of getting out of regions.

Bemidji - Bantam A's should return (06-07 PeeWee A's and Bantam A's (MAHA & VFW) both made state appearances).

what about Woodbury in 07-08?

Their B-1 team went like 40-8 or something crazy like that...were these first years or a good group of 2nds playing a weak B-1 division

so question for the group....does BM B-1 + PWA performance by an organization = results at BT A the next season?

yea woodbury should have a very good Bantam A team with 6 returning from A and most all of the bantam b1 kids were first years

Look for Grand Rapids bantams A's to be very competitive. As peewee A's they finished fifth in the state tournament.

Wow......what the heck are you talking about? he asked a question....Who do you think will go to bantam and peewee state and he simply said roseau will be at both of them which personally i agree with but i have no clue what your talking about. Start a new topic about all the north teams joining to form a super team or whatever your trying to get across to us...who knows maby it will happen

Early Predictions
Top 3

Peewee A
_____________
-Roseau ( can you say "Young Gunz?")
-Wayzata (Good players stepping up, Nice solid core of 2nd years)
-Edina ( always has a good youth program)

Bantam A
______________

- Eden Prarie ( good goalie nice group of players)
-Roseau ( 8 returning players that have Bantam "a" state tourney experience)
- Duluth East ( got an awsome group of players there)

UMMMM, I don't think Lakeville-South BA's will be going, most all of their returners went to STA. It should be a tough year for the Lake-So team. So you can count them out. Coach Mertens just left due to his job.

Lakeville south has NO chance, top 5 returning players will be gone to fire or St. Thomas. This team will struggle to be .500 if they stay in district 8, in district 6 it will be a disaster.

Speaking of Bantam A's. The teams that went to State 2 years ago as Pee Wee A's were: (I believe the games were in Duluth?)

- EP
- Wayzata
- Duluth East
- Roseau
- Grand Rapids
- Lakeville (North or South--can't remember)

Can someone help me with the other two teams? A person would have to think (barring no kids moving) that it should be close to the same teams going to state this year.

What other districts are lumped in with D16 for regions?

I dont have it in front of me, but believe the North region with ... let me check..
but I will guess first

16, IR (12) and 11 (Dultuh).. not sure who gets the 3 team advance but believe it is 12 along with 16. Nope this is 2009....

Should be
West - 5, 15, 16 with 5 getting two teams.
North - 10, 11, 12 with 5 getting two teams.
East - 2, 3, 8 with 8 getting 2
South - 4, 6 & 1 with 4 getting 2 teams.

So from the west I will take Bemidji and Roseau to state at Bantams.
And Roseau and East Grand Forks from Peewees.

The Two other teams at peewee state in Duluth were Edina and Sartell, the Lakeville team was South. It wouldn't surprise me to see six of them return...Sartell and Lakeville South will not be going.

Lots of love for Roseau on this forum. No doubt great tradition with storied athletes and legendary teams. However, Roseau Bantams were destroyed at state last year as well as in Duluth as Pee Wees in '06. If their big fella spends as much time in the box at regions as he has at state, I wouldn't bet on them making a return trip.

Burnsville has no chance. None. First year kids will be weak and returning core is not that good.

gerryodrowski,
They did manage to beat a very good Lakeville team at State as Pee Wee A's a couple year ago just to set the record straight.
