it appears as if you already know all you need to know about them.

I would say don't get your hopes up on them. Very undersized and truly they will get killed on varsity with guys that are 2-3 times bigger than them. They do have decent hands and are extremely well balanced for their size. I still wouldn't expect much if I was you, but I hope I am wrong because these two are great young men.

Those kids are late developers. They might not have hair under their arms yet.
Dad is around 5'10" and mom is average height. Odds are they will be around 5' 10" (help me out Drs.).
Those kids are in the 1 percentile in skills. See the ice and understand hockey very well. Nobody gets a clean shot on those lads.
Stay tuned, they will grow and play somewhere after highschool.

I heard they were going to Shattuck. They're small but tough and crafty with the puck. I think they will develop into very good players at the next level.

Wrong...the mom is tiny.

Parental size is one of the least valuable predictors of "talent." Parent support and involvement definately helps, but the there are so many other factors. For an interesting read, see:

Hobey winner Ryan Duncan is about 5'6" and weighs 155 pounds no matter what the program says. I think the Reilly boys will be fine. I was wrong about Shattuck, they're participating in the summer hockey program at Holy Angels . I wonder if they will be able to play varsity right away with this new transfer rule. They are going in to 10 grade so I believe they will be affected by this new rule.

I'm about 90% sure they are staying at Benilde. I don't know where you are getting your sources on the Holy Angels summer camp.

I saw them on the ice when I was at Richfield the other day. They are there unless it was another pair of highly talented twins named Connor and Ryan wearing Chaska helmets and socks

Too small. D3 at best - at best. They work hard, but once everyone works hard - size will eliminate them. No offense intended.

You are basing you decetions of them playing D3 hockey when they are going into 10th grade? What are you on? They are not done growing, hell they have barely hit puberty yet! They will be around 5"10; Mike Riley is about that height. If you can find a sophomore with better hands I would be suprised.

5'10". I'm not intent on beginning a conflict. I applaud their hard work, and you may be entirely correct regarding them just hitting their growth spurt. But, they are not 5'10". It's part of my job to know the elite players in the USA. They are lucky to be 5'7" and while they have some skill, being small will limit their attactiveness to scouts.

Ryan Duncan, the Hobey winner was 5'6". Corey Millen was about the same size. You don't need to be tall to be a great player.

Martin St. Louis is listed as a generous 5' 9" and is an outstanding player in the NHL
Brian Rafalski is listed as a generous 5' 10" and plays great D in the NHL
Neal Broten played in the NHL and was listed as a 5' 9" player. He played when the rules were not in his favor.
From what I have read, Vranek was a small player. Going to UNH?
The fact is, with the rule changes smaller players with skill and great ice presence can play the game.
I don't know who you scout for...............if indeed you do. Player size does not matter as much as it use to. That information comes from the scouts I have talked to.

I wish them the best future in hockey. My point is that size is a factor.
If your 5'7" being evaluated in a pool with a player that's 6'2", with very similar skills, it matters. That's my point.
