I heard that there was a 16 team in Eagan over the weekend including teams like AV, Eagan, both Lakevilles, Mayo, Century, etc....anyone know who else was in it?

Any game updates? Scores? Surprises?

I am curious how Century looks w/ all the guys they lost.....how about Mayo?

The Duluth East Greyhounds successfully defended their title (last year called the Burnsville tournament) with a 2-0 shut out win over Bloomington Jefferson in the championship game this morning.
East played and won the following games:
Fri. 7-1 over Lakeville South
Sat. 6-0 over Orono
Sat. 5-3 over Eastview
Sun. 4-1 over Albert Lea
Sun 2-0 over Bl. Jefferson

Hounds were led by Sr. forward Rob Johnson with 6 goals, Sr. forward
Jacob Boese with 4 goals and Junior Center Max Tardy with 2 goals. Defense looked strong with returners, Joe Arbour, Dillon Friday and 10th grader Derek Forbort. Neil Larson looked strong in goal for the Hounds.

I watched the Century/Richfield game and wasn't to impressed with Century! Richfield really outplayed and lead most the game!
Richfield had a short bench and ran out of gas near the end, Century won
5-4. Same for the Richfield/AppleValley game, Richfield skated 2 lines against A/P's 4 lines. Spartans dominated and lead 5-3 late, ended in a tie 5-5. Maybe Richfield will be strong again this year?

Could it be Guggs wasn't all they had last year!

I thought BSM looked real strong, Albert Lea did well...

DENIED, it was a fairly even from what I saw, and Richfield wasn't up most of the game I don't think. Actually Century was playing with freshman defense most of the time and didn't think they did too bad considering the lack of experience there. Just beware when playing Eagan in Eagan, your penalty minutes will tend to go way up for some reason

It was not Eagan's tournament, it was hosted by Burnsville as a fundraiser but played in Eagan. The JV teams played their games in Burnsville. So your 'homer' argument really makes no sense here considering Eagan had nothing to do with choosing the refs.

Rochester Century had only 3 players and 1 goalie that had played varisty... There were numour freshman as stated and alot of JV not so good players (3rd and 4th) line. Century will be in top of Big 9 and Section 1 AA when end of season comes.
