The kid is a solid player and great pick-up for the Huskies. Good things are happening in St. Cloud since Motzko took over.

Isn't he kind of all by himself at Little Falls now that Festler left? Who else do they have to score?

Beau Hanowski and Izaak Berglund are decent. Ben will still score a bunch, but probably not as many as last season.

Soooo, they have about 3 players. I see Little Falls kids on the Elite 2 rosters and on the Selects. I heard there were a few at Lucia's Model Camp. Any reason to drive to LF beside the Hanowski boys?

Rumor has it he's leaning towards returning to Little Falls for his senior year. His other option (presumed to be the favorite) would be to play in Omaha of the USHL. Thoughts??

i would like to see him play next year in state, however i think it's best for his development to seek higher competition

From what I've heard he'll do a split season between the USHL and High School.

Motzko will continue to get solid recruits until "the Don" leaves Rodent Country. I am on the packerboy bandwagon.

Benny is tearing it up in baseball this year. Anyone ever do hockey and baseball in college?

They did face off this past year and Ben scored four goals and I believe Leivermann was shut out, poor Leivermann

Hanowski had 4 goals. Leivermann had 2 assists. That was a fun game to watch. I dont think Corey shed any tears after this one.

It does not happen very often. It takes 2 coaches - hockey and baseball - to allow it to occur. Both have to be very understanding.

Right now Edina, Minnesota native Justin Milo is playing baseball for the University of Vermont. He had to sit out the hockey season this past year to meet NCAA transfer rules (baseball does not have the transfer rule). He will be a redshirt sophomore in hockey next season and a junior in baseball eligibility.

Already knew this but good choice ben. And im sure LF will be very competitive next year.. after losing Beau Hanowski, Zak Laird, and Matt Anez and losing Chris Sylvester who transferred to Warroad to playout his senior year for the black and gold i think LF will be fine next year, but if ben does decide to stay or do a split season I like Little Falls as section champs for the 5th time in a row and a good chance in state next year..

Go flyers..
