I think you mean Shattuck Bantam A, as according to their website the only lose for the Tier 1 team is to Green Bay. Big differnce between Tier 1 and Bantam A team.

The 94 Fire Hockey Club beat Shattuck Bantam A by the score of 5-1 a couple weeks ago.

I watched some of this game between periods of the Elite League game on the other rink. Good stuff.
Anyone have a Fire roster? With where the players are from would be even better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that there was a minimum requirement for the Fire club to have at least 4 Wisconsin players rostered. There were posts on this board a couple years ago to that effect concerning AAA elligibility for league or post season play.
Maybe that info was incorrect or USA Hockey changed rules.

Thanks keepyourheadup...it was really alot of fun.
3 great games:
Game 1: The game got a little long for everyone...there had to be 30 penalties called, so not alot of flow. SSM came out so hard in the 3rd...WOW! Good thing the FIRE had a lead...they held on for the win.
Game 2: I know that 6-2 sounds like a blow out but it was not, it was 2-2 going into the 3rd.
Game 3: The game was tied 3-3 with 3:00 to play in the 3rd so it was a hard fought game too.
I will let everyone know if these two teams hook up again...it was very good hockey.
As for having 4 WI players, I believe that is something that has been thrown around on this board and in rinks, but there is no truth to that "requirment" in the WAHA or USA Hockey handbook.
FYI - Have you seen the roster for SSM Tier I? You need to see this #10 - best '93 I have seen! WOW! His name is Elser and is from NY. Someone said that he tore up the USA Hockey Select 14's this past summer...I see why now.

Doesn't MN hockey have a rule about when the first games can be played? Maybe it is just for Squirts, but I thought the official start date for games is November 16 for all MN youth hockey.
It isn't November 16th yet in northern MN, why is it in the metro.

In D8, league play starts around Nov 5th so I'd hope they can start before 11/16.

White Bear Lake 4
Edina 4
White Bear comes back from 4-1 to tie. Edina can fly top to bottom. Ben Walker from Edina is fun to watch, great skills but has to jump to get over the boards. The Birkenbine, Wahlin line kept the Bears in the game.

Sorry but there is a USA Hockey rule...
page 136 of the annual guide....
"...a team must register in the USA Hockey affilaite in which 80% or more of its players reside..."
17 players .. 80% is 13.6 players... 14 are from MN....
What do you think...??????
