I am going with the hometown Purple- Yes they lost top players but they have 60% of scoring back plus their goalie...Defense is intact but will be tested by several within the conference...Rogers will always be tough while CI will be interesting...don't know about the rest but an upset is always possible in a conference where rivalry's are beginning to form.

An unexpected pick there  HOF

Honestly I too think that the Bison could be the team to beat in the M8 this year.
They have done quite well in off season and have some decent goaltending returning, as well as some very skilled players that I have seen.

Rogers will have it's work cut out for them this season, having graduated a dozen Sr's last year that were there since the school inception, they'll be looking to form a new identity this season, and it will be loaded with Jr's.
They return 51% of there scoring from last season.
The defense should be very good returning 3 of 4 of last years starters, 2 of which are Elite players.
Goaltending????? we'll have to wait and see but the strong D will help.

I don't see much of the Monti, Princeton, or CI players in the off season so I don't have a comment on them.
STMA?? there's been a few posters talking them up over the summer and they won the Conf. in football so who knows where they're at.
BBL....Image

I think it will come down to the same 4 teams battling right up to the end.

As always it'll be fun :D

One thing forsure the Buffalo/Rogers games will be intense...the kids on both sides understand that these games most times decide the conference crown...

Who are the goalies for Rogers anyways? Only seen two from last year, one graduated and one never even seen varsity time. If they have to rely on the kid that backed up, they are in serous trouble. Granted they have some pretty good D, but goaltending goes a long ways.

But i would have to agree with One Shot, buffalo, rogers and C/I are the only contenders i see. just my 2 cents.

Try and keep up on this: The STMA starting goalie who got hurt in a car accident when he was a Sophomore became Rogers back-up goalie when he was a Junior. He was in the same class as the senior goalie you referred to who graduated last year. Now the STMA then Rogers goalie went back to STMA for his senior year and sat on the bench during is eligibility time-out while the Junior STMA goalie started. When the senior goalie became eligible after January 1 (or whatever) he became the starter and the junior then became the back-up. Now the junior transferred to Rogers for his senior year not to be the back-up but to be the starter, which was the same thing the graduated senior goalie did when he was a sophomore except the other sophomore goalie who transferred in from Elk River that same year became the starter...

So who knows...

I can say with some confidence that there is no definite starter for the goaltending position at Rogers at this point.
They have a Jr. who was last years JV goalie, a soph., and yes a Sr. transfer from STMA. But not one of them is a lock for the spot.

not sure if having three even goalies is a good thing...doesn't sound like anyone is really standing out...on the other hand Buffalo has seen the return of one of their goalies who played at WBL last season and of course Zitur will be back and could be the best goaltender in Buffalo History... additionally there is a third senior goalie who isn't bad as well.

Not Sure!! what the heck are you not sure about
It's OK if they're all even if they're really good :D
But I didn't say they were even, I just said no one is a lock, and that's just IMO anyway and makes no difference.
