It will tell us a lot about the young Virginia team. I will be suprised if they keep it close, though. Too much depth on the CEC side and too little experience on the VMIB side.

how does CEC stay so strong at the varsity level? it seems like the youth program struggles year after year?

Great coaching. Dave Esse is one of the best in the business.

Cloquet should win by atleast 3 goals. Although, maybe Virginia's inexperience will be good for them. Maybe they'll just play like it's news to them everyone thought they should lose this game.

I am goin a bit closer than a 4 goal diff. I will go 4-3 in the third, with a big goal coming in early 3rd and Cloquet holding on for dear life.

Bakers first varsity start in nets for the lumberjacks might be nervous.

Cloquet will take this one, but it should be a lower scoring game than last year (6-3). Virginia's D will be a little tighter this year. Even without Kishel.

probably not. with all those talented seniors gone from last year this one could be very ugly. how can u say the d will be tighter when they lost an nhl prospect?

It will be fun to watch and NO I am not kidding. Rivalry games always seem to be tight no matter how one-sided the talent is. Even with Cloquet's fire power I think the coaching staff for Virginia and the players will be up for the game and keep it close. Virginia is not as bad as everyone thinks and they will be ready.
