Well ,
What a difference a day makes.
The Vikings are in the thick of a dramatic stretch drive playoff run and almost selling out with AP back.
The Gopher pucksters and, my persomal favorite, the venerable coach Don Lucia, salvaged a tie out in Michigan.
The Wild still have a stranglehold on first place.
Tubby's boys are undefeated.
The Twins look like they will get some good players for Johan Santana.
The TWolves chalk up another win
FSN coverage of HS Hockey starts tonight.
It looks like we have some great Presidential hopefuls to choose from , especially the Democrats.
Ill tell yah, for me "It's Like a Dream Come True"

Well boys, .....ah, wait a minute, there is some sticky stuff on my temples ......hmm, how'd that get there?
Anyways, I was shocked to see that the ILaN thread was locked out but parody and tongue in cheek humor are so misunderstood by those that just don't get it.
But things are looking up...er, or is that locked up?
The High Schol season is underway and it will be great watching my favorite team...its, well "It's Like Dream Come True"
But it will be fun to keep an eye on the flannel shirt teams as well as the metro teams.
Except for the Duluth area, we have great posters who will keep us updated on whats up all over the state.
Put that with the fact that the holidays are upon us and we can get out and do alot of shopping with our wives........."It's Like a Dream Come True"

When out doing your shopping remember to pick up a tube of the new "skin thickener" for a friend in need this Christmas PB

Geez, I know.
But be careful about references to Christmas.
We have been shocked into the realization that things are really OK.
So, let the word go forth , from this time and place , to friend and foe a like, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of posters.
Posters who look at the bright side of things.
The Stepford Posters, if you will.
No more negativity.
It will be like ...well, its hard to put it into words...maybe "It's Like a Dream Come True"

Man, everything is going just great.
The Wild are only 2 points out of first.
The Gopher bballers kept the margin of their loss against their first quality opponent under 20.
Driving home from work in the dark is great cuz you can see all of the lights.
It looks like the Yankees are interseted in Santana and are willing to give the Twins some players that are above average.
This is all just,..well, "Its Like a Dream Come True"
Just like for Don and Phil......Dreeeam ,dream , dream, dreeam,

Nine months ago they were bounced from the dance,
Scoring goals was the problem, as they hardly stood a chance.
But a new year has come and a game has been played,
And four goals arrived straight from a sophomore's blade.
When the horn finally blew, these

scored a bunch,
Ten was the take, thanks to this new offensive punch.
I know what you’re thinkin’, this win was no feat,
But they all count the same when you’re assemblin’ a fleet.
The Eagle was the first prize and I know there are more,
Especially if they give up, less than they score.
With the "Nightmare" now on hold, what is there to do,
High school hockey…
It’s like a dream come true

Ok you guys I thought maybe a simple snap of the fingers would wake you out of this... well
"Dream Come True" but I doubt it's going to be that easy, so I had to call in the big guns.

A fine poem indeed from flannel shirt land
The team IS likes is starting out grand
Things are looking up, what else can you say
I think its going to be another perfect day
We feel so proctected, so safe, so secure
No politcal satire nor parody to endure
With the Pirates , things are improving, its long overdue
A winning season and a trip to St Paul "Its Like a Dream Come True"

In only 9 days, the Pirates will slide
Into Johnson High on St. Paul's East Side
Wearing road jerseys of purple and gold,
Strutting around, all cocky and bold.
"We scored 10 against that team from the Falls!
We'll do the same to the Govs, we'll show them all!"
But as the puck drops, our story takes a turn
As suddenly the neck of the purple goalie does burn.
Goal after goal, tickling the twine,
The Pirates begin their familiar whine.
The Governors roll, the celebration under way,
The Pirates hang their heads, then sulk away.
"Hope you enjoyed St. Paul, this is what we do!"
Crookston vs. Johnson... IT'S LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE!!!

Govs poem was quite nice
Supported his team, talked a little trash
and he mentioned the twine,
not once but twice.
The problem I see,
and I'm sure Shanty will too.
The Pirates don't wear purple,
They, like my Lumberjacks
wear navy blue!

Ugh. I'm so embarrassed. I don't have a poem for this. Tell me the Pirate doesn't look purple on the top of
this page though!
The goalie's neck will still be red... I stand by that!

This is blue?
And this is purple?
What's this then?
Evidently my eyesight is so bad, I should be a referee.

Champ's on his game as he corrected Gov's error,
It was an honest mistake and I really don't care.
Our colors burn brightly on a big stage,
Thanks to Lee, just check the main page.
The only thing of matter is the showdown coming up,
Governors and Pirates squaring off for The Cup.
It's been a good series since nineteen eighty-six,
Trading off victories and taking our licks.
As for this year it will be either them or us,
But when it comes to The Cup, it will be arriving on our bus.
Early this December will be battle twenty two.
High school hockey....It's a dream come true.

I will say that is a pretty poor tinting on the web page. It does look more purple than blue. An honest mistake.
If your eye sight isn't as bad as you thought to be a ref, do you think your IQ is low enough to qualify?

People think that dark blue is purple because the Vikings look dark blue on most TVs.
And I can prove that.
But wheter its purple or whether its blue
With the HS season starting,
" It's Like a Dream Come True"
