HOW FIRED UP IS HILL-MURRAY?

On Monday night the Fox MyHockey internet show revealed their Top 10 rankings for 2007-08. #10? Hill-Murray.

Thursday night they face Wayzata in the MyFoxHockey "Game of the Week".

Kind of hard to cut something off your computer screen and post it on the locker room door, but Hill-Murray should be able to use this as motivation. The Pioneer Press has Hill #1. It will be impossible for the Pioneers (coincidence, I think not) to become overconfident after seeing another outlet rank them behind Blaine, Gopher football, and the LA Galaxy.

Number TEN.

Ouch.

Game is online and it should be a good one. Wayzata didn't fare too badly against Edina on Saturday.

Which game will you watch?

Bump so people can see the poll results.

As of now, 4 will watch on TV or go to the Edina game and 4 will watch on the internet or go to the Hill game. A couple industrious soldiers are going multi-media tonight.

Some "others" - either not watching HS hockey tonight or caught up with another game.

I am going to the Hill game. I'll try and get there for the end of the jv game so I can take a look at the young talent.

HM- 5
Wazyeta-0

Wow Hill Murray looked really good, not to mention big. They played the finesse game just as well as they played their physical game. All three lines are dangerous, and really hard to stop offensively.

The score could've and should've been closer, as Wazyeta had a penalty shot (which the deke went wide of the net), several open nets that they just didn't finish, and quite a few powerplays with a 5 on 3 powerplay to finish the game.

Now that I've seen HM skate, I definately can concur with everybody else that they are a huge contender for state champions.

The operative words there Fargo are "at state" as in 21 times at state in 33 years. I was at the game tonight. It was a physical game and HM held their own. HM dominated most of the play. Their top 3 lines all showed speed and finesse. Ryan Furne had the pure hat trick scoring 3 straight. Phillippi was very solid in goal - especially shorthanded. It's early & hard to know how good they are or how good Wayzata is. Tuesday night against BSM will be a fun one.

This game should have been closer? Why? The shots were 31-16, the penalty shot was the wrong call by the ref, and as for chances Hill hit two pipes about as solid as you can. Sure the Trojans could have scored a couple, but te Pioneers could have scored a couple more as well. I think the score accurately depicted the game.

Nice start to the season last night for Hill, although, wasn't too impressed with Wayzata. Hill worked hard & Flip was solid in goal. I don't think they are gonna "wow" too many teams, but I do think they will tend to wear down teams with their depth. Might be hard to keep them under 3 goals & may be tough to score 3 on them. Nice start boys, keep working hard.
