BSM has a good team this year. But Sparlimb and Parchisi's team will be too much for them. 7-3 Hill.

6-4 H-M, with an empty net. Two fast teams, should be an exciting game.

This game is for Neut and his Centennial boys...
4-1 HM over BSM

HM-5
BSM-3
Anyone know how Zierke is doing? Didnt he get kicked off the team last year?

I'll second Sparlimb's 4-1 H-M prediction.
Another prediction: Cecka will net two of the goals.
Should be a fun one to see, good luck to the Pioneers!

I dont think "It's In The Bag" for HM.
Anybody who plays BSM this year is in for a battle. I'd be more inclined to say it's all "Up for Grabs " .
I dont think picking BSM goes "Against the Grain" all that much nor is it going "Out On a Limb" to say they will win.

Zierke is having a great year so far, around 5 points in 2 games. He has really provided a spark in the BSM line-up. After playing a year of juniors (Owls of MJHL), he has transitioned nicely back to high school hockey. BSM's top line of Berglund-Zierke-Appelhoff can skate with anyone including the mighty pioneers. I'll take BSM 5-3.

BIAFP,
Those who bet against the Pioneers on a regular basis usually end up broke. You may get them every now & then, but over the long haul, they will always take your money. You never see a casino go out of business & it appears "business" at Hill is pretty good. So keep keep betting against the Pioneers BIAFP, we need your money for new recruits....ooppss, did I say that out loud?

Hill wins 5-3 in a close one.

This should have been a "Poll" thread.
When I posted there were already 8 postes for Hill. My lone post for BSM puts it against the grain.

As for the game itself, I suspect a pretty tight afair. 2 good teams with solid coaching. I'll go with Hill 3-2 as they get some home cooking from the Refs and get a poweplay goal in the 3rd. Nice early season test for both teams.

Good point. The grain is definatley green and easy to read so far.
But for me, it has deteroriated into speaking in old thread titles.

Nobody would be foolish enough to bet against them on a regular basis PPguy. That would mean betting on the regular season patsies they schedule every year. Betting against them when it means something against any quality opponent is a very profitable venture. Like last years tourney....two and get out the golf clubs

Ah, but how many others had several rounds of golf in before the Pioneers actually hit the course?

When the only real team you ever have to beat to get there is WBL that is O Forever in first round tourney games, is it really an accomplishment?

So now we need to apologize for being assigned to a certain section? Makes sense.

Curious, do support a particular team, or do you stand behind a curtain and take shots at programs without making yourself available?

BIAFP is a staunch supporter of the Moorhead Spuds. He is well known around these parts by his alter-ego handle, "Slapshooter".

That can't be. Nobody would take a shot at a school (WB) after seeing that team beat their team (Spuds). And a person would lose credablity taking a shot at a program's history of winning at least 1 state title (HM) when their team has failed to do so. So there is no way BIAFP would be a supporter of Moorhead...you must be wrong. It's obvious, he is a fan of Roseau....you know, that small tiny little program up north that won't allow the Spuds to come to St. Paul & hang with the big boys.
