If Lee faces something like Frazee has in terms of college and international competition and does equal or better, then such remarks hold water. But it is ludicrous to say a 11th grader that has only faced HS level competition is currently better than a goalie that has already been successful against the best in the world for his age group.

Congrats to Lee...but, I thought he would have gone to a bigger powerhouse in the WCHA than SCSU....just shows to prove once again about MN goalies.

Unlike defensemen and forwards where playing time is more ample, goalie recruits are naturally going to focus more on a team's depth chart when it comes to picking a school. After all, only one goalie plays in a game and if a team is projected to have a guy entrenched as a veteran starter when a recruit enters school, the recruit is probably more inclined to shy away from that team (in some cases anyway). It isn't necessarily a matter of a program's prestige but opportunity that drives a goalie's decision.

This said about a team that has yet to manage even one NCAA win. :P

That's usually the case until a team wins that first game, yes.

You can still go ahead and mark my words...

I wouldn't remember it. I have heard so many SCSU fans over the years make similar statements that I doubt I could count them all or remember who made the comments.

Once again. St. Cloud has landed not only a fine netminder, but an outstanding individual. Solid student, quarterback on a nice team, plays great on the baseball team, and can play a mean trumpet!

Congrats Mike!

Now, focus on the season ahead and bring the Rams number 8!

SCSU has some great incoming talent, Festler and Leblanc, and then the next year Lee.

Great decision to play for the good ol' Huskies, joining his teammate Nick Oliver.

after watching him last year, I couldn't believe the poise that he had and the talent as just a sophomore. SCSU has found a great goaltender.
