Best chant of the year
OVERRATED from The Mighty Titan fans
Hill couldn't pull out the upset as predicted
Hill parents leave early in shame
Rumors of Furne and Westie coming back to the powerhouse of section 4AA
Flip not all that

Playing Tartan is a good/bad situation. The good thing is this will now put to rest that Hill doesn't play any powerhouse programs. Bad thing is that this will now likely end our undefeated season. Damn Titans!
Sorry I'll never accuse you of sarcasm again ppg

And Tartan continues this year and finishes with a great .500 record, and Hill makes the state tournament, and nothing that happened today matters.

Typical Tartan fan already on the board...Shouldn't you be out celebrating? Afterall, it was a "manhandling", sure victory from the start..
Wasn't at the game, but heard H-M didn't come ready to play. Even though this was the case, I was told shots were handled by the Pioneers (something like 46-13). This tells me Tartan's goalie must have been on and H-M's must have had an off day.
Don't get too excited about this one, thor. Where it really counts is section time.
Upsets are bound to happen. Although Pioneer fans "cringe" at the thought of losing (especially in the Classic Suburban), it may have been a good time to do it. This should supply a reality check for the boys in green. In other words, it should help them focus better on each and every game rather than just the WBL's and Holy Angels' of the world.
By the way, this loss doesn't prove that they are overrated in anyway. It just proves that anyone in this league can be beat. The Pioneers are still 5-1, have scored 48 goals in 6 games, and are
still favored in the section at this point. One upset won't change that.
Good luck the rest of the way, Pioneers!

my jaw hit the floor when I saw the score. I heard hill didn't come to play and that is why they lost. They kept making mistakes and the titans were able to capitalize. One thing is for sure is that this game could really shake things up come section time

Hill will just have to use this game as a learning lesson, Nice win by Tartan but i think Hill will be fine tomorrow

I really doubt it'll shake up much of anything.

We all expect that, and we also expect Hill to
LOSE 2 and out again
They are over rated , for crying out loud their jv team could have beat em
What matters in todays win is that alot of teams come in scared and play on their heals - Not the Titans We outplayed Hill the first 2 periods. It was obvious that Tartan wanted it more. Harwood stood on his head in the 3rd and I have to hand it to Hill they were better conditioned. The boys in blue were gassed
GOOD GAME HILL YOU GAVE IT YOUR ALL

Was at the game and Tartan scored a couple early goals and hung on for dear life after that. I don't think Tartan even got a shot on goal in the third. If not for a well timed net bumped off in the waning seconds, the game would have gone to overtime.

According to Pointstreak.com, Hill-Murray outshot Tartan 47-15.

Sections won't be changed unless Tartan decides to add Holy Angels and WBL to their schedule and then beats them.

I don't think there is anyway that Tartan could have totally dominated play like you seem to think they did, for two periods, when they ended up getting outshot by 32

The best part about sports is there are always upsets, they happen....I know it. But the season is young ang I am sure that HM will bounce back. I watched Tartan play against Richfield on Thursday and it seems as though their goalie played real well. Congrats to them, but remember that the season has just started.

Hill had 21 shots in the third. Like I said hill was better conditioned and tartan was gassed. Give me a little room for bragging, exaggeration and sarcasm you Hill fans do it all the time (ie pioneer"notso"prideguy, pioneer, etc). The Hill boys would admit it was pretty even through the first 2

Losses now don't hurt, losses in March do. Congrats to Tartan for a hard earned victory.
I said it in the preview, Hill plays like crap in day games...

That was a different goalie (sophmore) today was their senior. I was at the game. Tartan in no way dominated any facet of this game. They got an early lead and held on for dear life. Outstanding goaltending and some lucky bounces...the recipe for all upsets like this. Hats off to Tartan, they are a young club and looked pretty damn good today. They seem to have goaltending and a lot of young players getting a lot of playing time. Also some really solid older players. Junior Ryan Abrahmson is really good. Hill is the much better team...no doubt. If they didnt come to play...shame on them. I know this a lot of Hill players were crying when they left the arena. Probably cuz practice on Monday aint gonna be fun.

Congrats to the Titans. You are now the front runner for the conference are are looking like the #1 seed for sections. The HM alumni has already put in the petition for Lech's immediate removal & also looking to replace the admissions director as these bunch of recruits just don't have it!
Seriously, nice win for Tartan. A win over Hill does more for them than a win for Hill over Tartan. It will be interesting to see how Hill responds in the next couple of weeks against solid competition. Hopefully they will realize press clippings don't win games. Keep working hard boys & good things will continue to be there for ya. Congrats Titans, round one goes to you.

I'd start a thread using the F-word but admin would just nuke it. A wise man said scheduling non-conference games like Park wouldn't help. You just can't play patsy after patsy and expect to turn it on when ever you want.
On one hand this loss will help the kids rededicate themselves. On the other hand teams will not be awestruck and more motivated also.

Stop it Neutron. If Hill would have beat Tartan by 8 like they should have you'd have said they were a patsy too. The thing that is easy to forget is these are high school kids. They have days they don't play well. They have games the should never lose that they do. This can happen to anyone. I still like my squad and they they can beat anyone in the state. We'll get a much better idea of where Hill stands after they play WBL one week from today and the Schwann cup after that...

Not to often can you keep the horseshoe stuffed up
there for over 51 minutes
I heard a lot of clinking of steel in the third period but fortunately Harwood sucked up a few more laying around in our zone.

It is early, and HM got their wakeup call.
Didn't Furne go to Tartan his Freshman and Sophomore year?
I bet the Tartan guys teared into him

What a night on the East side.
First Hill Murray Central Campus (Tartan) beats Hill Murray Main Campus 4-3.
Then Hill Murray Southeast Campus (Park) beats Hill Murray North Campus (WBL) 4-3 in OT.
HM Northeast (Stillwater) campus beat HM Magnet school (Hastings) 4-2
And HM Northwest Campus (MV) lost to Rosville 1-0 in a last second heartbreaker.
HM South Central Campus (Woodbury) beat Prior Lake 11-1 and continues to roll.
