Its okay, Edina is still a public school.

Edina 5
GR 0

Edina is too talented to be beat when they play their best and they will for revernge for the state tournament last year.

I think a poll is unnecessary for this game

The only way i see grand rapids winning this game is if they hit and play edina so physically they take out their top players.....I'm assuming that won't happen...thus edina wins

Edina 5
Rapids 2

Edina is more talented this year, Grand Rapids is less talented this year. I like your 5 to 1 prediction.

It's not like Edina is blowing everyone out. They played a good, close game with Burnsville. I think there are a lot of teams at Burnsville's level and one or more of those teams will get Edina on a given night. I don't think Grand Rapids will win this game, but they could.

Edina 5
Grand Rapids 2

Not everyone.

6-1 over Maple Grove
5-1 over Wayzata
8-2 over Rochester Century
4-2 over Eastview
4-3 over Burnsville
8-1 over Chaska

Four one-sided games out of six.

Are you in the belief that Eastview and Burnsville are top 5 teams? I am not. All I was trying to say is that it may not take a top 5-10 team to beat the Hornets on a given night. At some point, big egos may clash. Then again, maybe not.

If past history is an indication Rapids will play two tough games and win the one they need to...the Elks. So far the season is shaping up much like the last two. Stay positive Rapids, as fans we love your style of play.

Note: Grand Rapids is 3-2-1. They were also 3-2-1 going into Edina last year.

Wasn't Patrick White injured at that time?

Bob, at this point it doesn't look like Burnsville and Eastview are Top 5 teams. Maybe Top 15-20. I'm hearing that Burnsville is very reliant on their top line

This much we all know - Grand Rapids isn't a Top 5 team either.

Who are the Top 5?

Edina, Roseau, Hill (despite the loss), Minnetonka, and maybe Centennial?

Edina could lose to anyone on their schedule on a given night. Four games with Wayzata, two with Minnetonka. EP, Benilde, Duluth, Cloquet.

It'll be interesting. An old rivalry game that dates back before Jim Malwitz.

Don't think anyone has put GR in the top 5. The last two years have started out in a similar fashion for the Indians. For whatever reason, they seem to get things shored up at this tournament and go on to bigger and better things. Section 7 has proven to be wide open thus far, and is waiting for someone to claim their place. This is a great character building week for the Indians. Looking forward to it. By the way, GR will stay with the Hornets for about a period and a half before faltering. Final will be closer than you think due to the excellence of the Rapids goaltender(whomever it may be). 5-3 Edina.
