Jason Stadstad memorial hockey tournament ( the grand forks)

Probably one of the most stacked tournaments in the the two states. who wins it? especially at the best college hockey arena in the coutnry. tons of scouts gunna be there.

No, Four team single elimination tournament. Loser of first round games play on Saturday at 5:30 pm and the winners play in the Championship at 7:30 pm. Should be 4 very good games. Looking forward to making the trip.

If it was single elim wouldn't there be no games after the first 2? :D

Bulldog old wise-one. Here is the technical definintion for you. See, that Roseau education isn't so bad.

A single-elimination tournament, also called a knockout, cup or sudden death tournament, is a type of tournament where the loser of each match is immediately eliminated from winning the championship or first prize in the event. (However, it does not always mean that the defeated competitor will not participate further in the tournament (in some such tournaments, consolation or "classification" contests are subsequently held among those already defeated to determine the awarding of lesser places, for example, a Third place playoff.)
