Bernice "Grandma" Schedin passed away at age 88 on Tuesday. Grandma rarely ever missed a sporting event, home or away. She was at most every football and baseball game, but hockey was her passion. Her funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids. Visitiation starts at 10 a.m.

That is terrible news. She was certainly the most loyal fan. I remember seeing her at every game.

I feel very sorry for the Rapids community for their loss. A loyal fan is hard to find, especially one that has been with them for so long.

Sad day for the Grand Rapids faithful. The most devoted and involved person in high school sports.
Thank you for everything Grandma

Think of all the hockey games she'll be able to see from her vantage point now!

God Bless!

Do her proud Rapids and keep her chair empty for all games at the IRCC.

That my boy is an outstanding idea! That is what MN hockey is all about and how arenas become our secondary place of sanctuary.

Don't drop the puck on this one GR. It would be befitting for a great community to honor one of their top fans!
