This season has been a great one so far. Playoff time should be just crazy. Also, looks like section 1A could be one of the toughest in the state this year. ha and thats really weird.

I disagree section 2A will be the toughest section in class A by far. Breck, Blake, Mound, and Orono.

Cathedral beats Denfeld handily last night and Denfeld is 6 and Cathedral doesn't make the cut? Hmmm, interesting.

1. St. Thomas-far and away the best 1A team in the state, should not have lost to Breck, but there speed is just to much to handle
2. Breck-young talented players will keep them up here for a while
3. International Falls-have looked good on paper, but won't really be tested until end of season with Roseu and Grand Rapids
4. Duluth Marshall-Team speed is excellent, not a lot of size, two tough losses to top 2A schools
5. Warroad
6. Mankato West
7. Cathedral
8. Mahtomedhi
9. Denfeld
10. Red Wing

I hate West with a passion, but their damn good. Gooooooooooo Section 1A! It's about time we get some respect. ( even for a team, that has none )

St. Thomas is definately not far and away the best A team in the state. Theyre good but they didnt even beat Breck. You cant be by far the best team if you lost to a team thats supposedly not nearly as good as you.
1. DM- lost to two top AA teams
2. St. Thomas- Lost to Breck, still very good
3. Makato West-
4. I Falls- Somewhat a surprise. Would extremely tough if they had Hjelle.
5. Breck- Young, will peak when it counts
6. Cathedral- Underrated, outplayed Denfeld
7. Warroad
8. Mahtomedi
9. Red Wing
10. Denfeld

I agree, they havent played anyone yet that showed that they should even be in the rankings of the top ten. Maybe after they play Cathedral maybe the they will be, but untill then speculation

IMO, Little Falls would give anyone on this list a good game and could beat some on this list on any given night. What they need to do is be more consistent. You can't beat a Roch. Lourdes one night and then play absolutely lousy against Sauk Rapids-Rice the next game. Not to take anything away from SRR. If only they were actually playing more of the teams on these lists, then we'd know better.
