How did they do against the MUSKIES last night?

Actually the game is tonight. It should be a classic game. Both teams have speed and size. Should be very physical. Falls in a close one.

The falls is getting taken to the cleaners. The muskies are smoking the Broncos 4-0 last I heard 3rd period.

I Falls vs. Duluth Marshall at the DECC for the 7A championship is what I'm hoping for. That would be a fantastic atmosphere.

10-1. Good showing at the Rochester Tourney. The Fort is a good solid club, has nice goaltending and several players that will probably leave after there junior year and play major juniors in canada. The rematch in the Falls should be a good game to watch.

Yeah, then the Falls won't have to deal with the Canadian reffing, hehe. Not sure if that made a difference or not, but when I played up that way, they didn't seem to like us that much.

THey are off to a better start than many (at least myself) anticipated. Heard about the FF game froma friend he said the next meeting will be a better game. I just have to wonder how good they could have been had Hjelle stayed????

A very good question indeed. Though Hart hasn't played poorly, I imagine that Hjelle between the pipes would probably have almost cemented a trip to the state tournament. Of course, who could have predicted the excellent play of so many underclassmen and the consistency of the 3rd and 4th lines.

Just checked the site E70 gave and it appears this I Falls team has a nice record with not much to show for quality(read no top 10) opponents. You guys always want to bring back the glory days, but I wouldn't be making any reservations at any St. Paul hotels as of yet, especially with a quality team like the Toppers in the Section. Let us know when you knock off a top-rated team then maybe you'll get some attention. You want to be the best - you need to beat the best (ala Ric Flair).

Thanks elliott for the site.

Its a good one and has all the teams which makes it better than maxpreps for team info but they dont have the players rosters/ stats like maxpreps does.

IF looks like they have a strong squad.

Does Tim Sheehy still play center?

No, I don't believe there are any sheehy's playing this year. There is a player named Jake Youso, just happens to be a Golden Gopher recruit. They also have a nice supporting cast as well.
Yes, they haven't had to play the top teams, but they have beaten the teams they need to beat. The tough part of the schedule is coming up, which will give them a true test and help prepare them for the playoff run.

The last time a Bronco team started out the season at 10-1 you have to go all the way back to the 1977-78 season.

They have a good solid team and with some key W's down the road they just might jell into a great team.

I have not seen DM play but did watch IFalls 3 games they played in Rochester. Yes, they did win all 3 of them but all 3 came in O.T. against 3 very average teams. They did not impress me much. They seemed to play alot better in O.T. than in regulation. Youso, no doubt has a lot of skill but besides the first line I did not think they were all that good. Definately a bit overrated in my opinion.

I think the younger Youso #6 defensemen is going to be an excellent player. He was very good I thought and only a sophomore?

Yes, IFalls is a good team but I am not sure they should even be in the top 5 for class A. Like I said, I have not seen DM play but I agree with the above poster who said not to make hotel reservations in St. Paul just yet??

I got to watch parts of 2 of the Falls games in Rochester. They play only hard enough to win. I suppose that winning the game is the bottom line but a good team would give them a lot of trouble coming back late in the game. Youso is a one way hockey player but he is very good offensively. I watched the Falls get a 2 on 0 rush during their PK and Youso took a bad angle shot and missed. He loafed back and left his buddies in a 5 on 3 until he eventually got back to help. I hope he doesn't do that for the U. When the championship game counted most though he got the assist on the tall skinny kid's goal and then got the OT game winner. I was impressed with AL's speed but the Fall boys are tough around their net so AL needed to score on the rush because they weren't going to walk out of the corner and score on the Broncos.
