this conference has been intact for a while now
it seems like hill-murray has won the conference every year followed by STA

has anyone else won the conference outright besides hill? what year?

I'm guessing that three years ago Tartan won it, 2004-2005, not sure though. This year St Thomas just has to split games with Hill to win it. Should be a good race.

minnesota-scores.net is where I get those past scores and they only go back the past two. Three years ago Tartan was really good and went to state. I'm assuming they did. And in past year So St Paul has been good.

I take it that you don't think anyone besides Hill might beat your Cadets.

Here are all of them
01-02 Season H-M
02-03 Season North St Paul
03-04 Season H-M
04-05 Season Tartan
05-06 Season H-M
06-07 Season H-M and St Thomas tied

This came from the history section on www.hmpioneers.net

I think Tartan could beat STA. Cretin isn't that strong this year and they came back and made a game of it against STA. St. Thomas is small and can be pushed off the puck by bigger teams. They certainly do have talent and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they split with Hill this year and win the conference outright.

Tartan doesn't have the size like they use to do but they have a handful of kids that have been playing together throught the amateur years. It will be hill taking the confrence and tartan and sta tied for second.

hockey champs 08,

If you think that, how exactly are you thinking that'll play out? IF Hill beats St Thomas twice, then they'd be atop the conference, with St Thomas in 2nd, pending no upsets.

nevermind... this was a really dumb post.

Yes, NSP and Tartan have both won it in the last few years.

Upsets happen in hockey and their amateur years would be squirts through bantams. hill and sta will spilt the 2 games they play this year. tartan will spilt the 2 games they play against sta.

Oh, after getting shut out 7-0 you think home ice will give them an edge. That makes sense; at least we know where you're coming from.

tartan had an off night they didn't connect any passes and had trouble with sta but home ice gives you an edge and tartan will probably squeak by with a win.

STA won 3 games in both 02 and 03, finishing last both years. then I think they finished 5th in 04 and 3rd in 05 before being runners up and co-champs the past two years. Everyone always forgets how quick their rise to power has been.

Im takin them to win the conf. this year though, splitting with Hill and running the table the rest of the way.

BAD NIGHT??? Youre kidding right??? STA was faster, stronger, more talented and more disciplined. The only way Tartan wins is if STA has their bus go in the ditch and forfeits.

Does Hill take a bus to Aldrich?
Maybe the only hope for Tartan at our next contest

Have you seen the Titans last 2 games? Lethargy at it's finest. Oh, and by the way, Hill takes stretch limo's to Aldrich.

Tartan is a lot better this year than last. As along as anyone except Hill gets it, I'm satisfied. We'll see a lot of changes in the coming 2-3 years as those private schools can't recruit into their districts any longer.
