Edina was due to be upset. I could see it coming.

It is tough to go undefeated folks and Edina is no different than anyone else. Benilde is a very good team and these things happen. Just like Hill losing to Tartan, this may end up doing more good than bad for Edina. Now they know they have to show up and play hard every night.

I didn't see this one coming at all but good for Benilde. This could prove to be huge for them in the section seatings-especially if Edina beats Tonka.

Saw Benilde early and thought they were awesome...guess I was right.

I agree ! I thought Benildes would win. I saw them early in the season and felt they where a quality team and had many dangerous players. Along with solid deffense and a good tender. I would not say this was an upset Edina is good but Benildes in no way was going to be an easy win for them.

Edina, no doubt, is a good team. But this proves that they are not leaps and bounds above everybody else. So, when sections roll around who knows what might happen.

You are correct, they are not leaps and bounds above everyone else.

Coach Pauly run a trap against Edina? That has been his M.O. in recent years.

Benilde looks like they deserve to be talked about more as one of the top few teams in the state. This isn't their first impressive win this year.

This isn't their first impressive win? Name another. Maybe over Marshall, but aside from that they have played one quality team and lost.

BSM so thoroughly wooped Edina yesterday, the score frankly did not reflect the game. In fact, Edina's only goal was such an obvious pick at the blue line, the refs must have been intentionally blind. Not sure why BSM's record is being debated here. They very much deserved the win and their ranking. Meanwhile, I was not very impressed with Edina. Not sure if it was just a flat game for them or their first against a quality opponent.

lets not say BSM hasn't had some key wins, it pains me to say this but the Red Knights came ready to play and outplayed the Hornets outright. From what i have seen Edina had an off night, and is still the better team, but hats off the BSM on a great win. Should make things interesting, and that player Student hasnt gotten the press he deserves, a great player from what I have seen this season.

I agree on the fact that BSM came ready to play, just as every team that Edina faces this year will do. For many beating Edina is their season. BSM celebration's after the game said it all. Edina has appeared to since shuffle the line-up which should create more balance for an overly talented but still not in sync club. A loss for the hornets this time of year is good for them and for HS hockey. Student is a very nice player aside from the cheap shot to the head of Baker after the final buzzer. Has anyone else noticed BSM high ratio of slashing penalties?
