Who the heck cares? THis tourney put on by Marshall is a complete laughing joke amongst fans of hockey in Duluth. Marshall claims to be so great and this is all they can muster up for a tourney? I believe they even got beat last night, only saw the 6 oclock news, but were losing to Edgewood? Who is Edgewood? Marshall, quit your claim to #1 and play some decent teams.

well i have seen marshall play some "decent" teams while at the STATE TOURNAMENT....which could support their claim to be a good team....they put on the tournament im guessing because they want to try to get better teams to join....this is just my guess...its not that they don't play good teams....and it is just a tournament which doesn't really count for anything except for the trophy

First, anyone that thinks Marshall does not play good teams is a complete idiot. All you have to do is look at their schedule. Numerous opponents are in the Schwans Cup (gold, silver and bronze). If more teams would consider playing them, they would be added to the schedule. It's not a secret. And its the fact of economics. If you have your own rink; put it to use. This years Hilltopper tournament was loaded with quality teams, but you would have to know something about hockey to understand this.

I don't really know how organizing a holiday tourney works but is it really Marshall's fault if better schools either don't try to get in or turn down the invite? Its not like they can go other places to get better competition, you cannot let a good facility like that go to waste

Edgewood (not edgewood) - #2 in WI.
Simley - I don't see them on the schedule. You must think they will meet at the State tournament?
Ashland - It is advisable to play them as they are in the LSC.
LOW - I will give you that one. Some good teams in the recent past.

Lake of the Woods did not play in the DM tourney. LOW was in Roseau.
It ws Fort Frances, Ontario. About 60 miles east of Baudette.
And they have a decent team.

As International Falls can attest.
