I hope not. He is a good coach that has had tremendous teams in the past. One bad year does not warrant a coaching change.

If you look at shots AHA outshot them 28-21, I have never been impressed with Webb.

So what is AHA's record...

I was suprised at how HA dominated the 1st period (Moorehead scored a softy) and the 1st part of the 2nd. But it was 3-1 Moorehead going into the 3rd. HA again had control to start the period but Moorehead got their 4th and it looked like HA gave up (or maybe tired). This is the 2nd time seeing the Stars play and I thought they improved but that 3rd period was ugly. Props to the Spuds, they played smart and consistant. Capitalized on their opportunities.

It's pretty much understood amongst AHA fans the Boerger is the far better of the two AHA goalies. He has a broken foot at the moment and will be back in a few weeks.

AHA also just seems to have more confidence when Boerger is in net. Even in the Rosemount game (which Boerger played on said broken foot) AHA didn't pack it in like they did today.


AHA will be fine. As far as a coaching change, Are you serious? 2 state titles and 2 more tournament berths in the last six years. Combined that with nothing but 20+ win seasons. Wish in one hand, Crap in the other and see which gets filled first.

Same problem all year for the Stars... goaltending. Webb has been off, and I have a feeling he'll be on the bench for a little while when Boerger gets back.



Although it hasn't been the greatest year for the Stars, it definitely has not warranted a coaching change. Trebil is one of the best coaches in the state, and will not be fired by AHA. The only way he will leave AHA is if he resigns.

are you kidding me???? I have a VERY STRONG DISLIKING for Trebil, I think he is a huge cheater and not just saying that as a knock on AHA, I also think his dealings as a bantam coach were not the most legit. However, he played a big part in making Jefferson and Holy Angels the top tier programs they are. He is in the top 5 best coaches in the state, if not ARGUABLY the best (I would pick Pauly probably over him but thats debatable). To suggest a coaching change is rediculous!

All these people asking if a coaching change is needed are not AHA fans. They are just whiners who need to take shots at the coach. In the third period Trebil played a line of all 9th and 10th graders. These kids were playing against Moorheads top lines and captains.
So they lost a game, not a big deal. Trebil will work on the play and be fine.

I thought AHA looked good in the first, but did not put the puck away. In the second they took a step down then in the third started strong then seemed to look tired.

I will reserve judgement on a "down year" until the end of the season. It the only thing that matters in the end.

And for the record Webb is far from a good goalie this season. He was solid in the WBL game, But other than that he has given up far more than his share of suspect goals. His .847 save percentage is just plain bad and I would not expect to see him once Boerger is back from his injury.

I tend to agree with you to some extent playing 9th & 10th graders in December against the other teams top lines will pay off later but... I also think the change in eligibity rules has affected the program

Tell me where I said Webb is not a good goalie? I said he has been off, as in not playing up to normal Webb standards. 7 goals on 21 shots (.667 save percentage) is not normal Webb, and it is definitely not all defense.

You have obviously failed to read any post I have made about AHA this year. I was the first to say it would be a down year so you don't have to tell me that.

IMO there were many things that contributed to this loss. Tired players in the second and third. One pair of upper class men D having a very tough day. A goalie who could have given up a few less goals. Forwards who didn't finish and didn't back check. It is too early to tell about this team but don't count them out to be in the mix at the end of the season.

A young team making mistakes and sub-par goaltending means one thing, a losing season.

Stars will be lucky to get a top 4 seed at this point for sections.

Holy Angels overall skill this year is VERY poor when stacked against the better teams in the state! Coach Trebil is the same coach he was when leading the Jefferson Peewees, Bantams, and Stars to state championships. Poor players = poor teams, there is no magic wand!
