Depends on which team Hermantown shows up with. Could be a good game, but the Hawks have been struggling this year.

I. Falls - 5
Hermantown - 2

I Falls 4 Hermantown 3 OT. I see a barnburner as Hermantown is getting stronger and building confidence every week. I believe there LeBlanc withdrawls are coming to an end and Plante has this team finding its own identity. Great coach!

I'll step out and go with the Hawks by a goal or two.

From what I can see, this may be the 1st time the I. Falls team gets a test and even with the home ice, they come up on the short end 4-3. The Hawks look like they are getting their 2nd wind with Mr. Krause back and played a very quality D. Marshall team evenly last evening.

I have a feeling that the hawks are going to fall behind early and then comeback in the third. the youso vs. hermantowns D matchup will be key.

hermantown 3

the falls 2

I think the falls may have been tested last week in Rochester with three overtime games.

I don't know if I'd call I-Falls winning an upset...

This was an even game. IFalls got there first lead on the last goal with less than 3 minutes left. I Falls has 3 good lines. The Hawk goalie looked a little bit shaky. Refs were blowing some quick whistles.

Dean Blais was there too - maybe recruiting for his tem next year or just enjoying a good game at home.

Great game!

I drove 3 hrs to see this game. I got my moneys worth and then some. It was as good as a high school hockey game as you can see. Both teams skate very well and both have great skills. I believe both these teams have a shot at state. Shots on goal were nearly a dead heat. Fantastic up and down the rink action and some great hits. I Falls Jake Youso was even better than his billing and is the real deal. Lightning in a bottle with great hands and vision. He reminded me so much of Derek Plante and every time his line was on the rink it was electric. Yousos long legged lanky linemate Ladd Corrin has some nice skills as well as the other winger Jace Baldwin a little fireplug. The second and third lines were lunchbucket lines and grind. Defensively pretty sound and goaltending seemed pretty solid as he was tested. I think Duluth Marshall has the best defensive core in this section. I really like this I Falls team and with what I think is one of the most dangerous lines in high school hockey give this team a shot to win section 7 along with Marshall and Hibbing. Winning this section could just be as hard as the state tournament itself.
