Star Defender for the Crookston Pirates Lexy Wangen is continuing to fight back from her bout with West Nile Virus. Wangen has been told by doctors to expect a full recovery , but that full recovery may take as long as one year. Wangens' father Bruce, has indicated this is very frustrating for Lexy. Any one who knows Lexy understands how difficult this would be for her said her father. Indeed we know lexy and we know without a doubt that she will be back stronger than ever. Not only do the Pirates need her back but womens hockey needs a player of this caliber back.
Highly touted as one of the states top defenders , Wangen helped lead the Pirates of Crookston to last years State tournament berth. Certainly our thoughts are with you .
