High school enrollments

For starters, Visitation's and St Thomas' enrollments are doubled for sports as they have no students of one gender. That being said, does anyone know why schools use the total number of students in the school? Why don't they use the total number of the specific gender in the school?

I have no clue what you are getting at by adding this topic. Why would you only have one gender for your population? Are you asking for a sports sake? If you are then are you asking why we dont change A and AA for hockey to boys population? WOW.......

No. Say a school has 2000 students, while they have 1200 boys and 800 girls. The girls, for example in this case, are put at a disadvantage with the 2000 enrollment number. It could, and probably would, change the class of many schools in many sports.

I'm curious if anyone knows why they do it how they currently do.

I would feel really sorry for the boys of that school - probably some serious slim pickings for prom dates with that many more boys than girls!

He is trying to in a very sneaky point out that he attended high school with only boys. Circletalker made it a point to avoid girls.

I have a feeling it was actually vice versa.

If you don't understand a question, ask one in response. I'm just curious as it would change the enrollments of schools and what classes some are placed in. But if you'd like to prove me correct about not commenting on topics and just on those who post, go on right ahead...
