What Minnesota kids are expected to get drafted in the NHL'S first 3 rounds this year. Of these kids who will be the first 5-6 taken?

im not sure if any minnesota kid will go in the first 5 or 6 but i think ness will probley go in the top 15 -20.

The player who will probably taken highest in the draft playing in Minn this year is David Toews from SSM (I know - he's from Winnipeg). Also Nick Larson from Apple Valley/Eastview/St. Thomas/Waterloo is an "A" player as well.southernmnscout wrote:A Players

The 2008 NHL Entry Draft will be the 46th NHL Entry Draft. It is set to be hosted at Scotiabank Place in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on June 20, 2008.slapshot89 wrote:When does this occur? Is it televised?

Is Hickey even going to Wisconsin next year. I had heard that they were not happy with him? They have so many good players coming there, is there room for him. They have Murray, Stepan and Monpetit from Shattuck., Gardiner from Tonka. Has anyone heard which of these guys are going next year?

Don't forget about Barnes from Bville. I would assume that Stepan, Murray, and Monpettit from Shattuck will go next year and Barnes and Gardiner will come the folling year. I would assume that the schedule that Shattuck has will better prepare them. Does anyone have any insight.

Derek Loisel from Coon Rapids should definatlely get drafted. He's got great size, plays for a TERRIBLE team so he doesn't get any help, and he's leading the North Suburban Conference in points (23). So I think Loisel, Barnes, Gardiner, and Ness should all get drafted in the first 3 rounds of 2008. I've now watched all these players play and they look great!

First off petern3, Coon Rapids is in the Northwest Suburban conference, and second of all, that kid is not even the leading scorer on his team and you say he has no team to back him up....... right...

I saw D. Stephan at Hastings. I think he was a sophmore at the time. In my opinion, he may have the best hands of any high schooler i've seen in quite sometime.. I have since read he is going to Wisc.? Not sure how he's doing at Shattuck, but i remember seeing a few of his goals vs. Woodbury and Park. Highlight reel for sure. I would expect him to go high compared to others in this age group.
