Burnsville ALL THE WAY. I heard they lost one of their best defensmen when he got his foot stuck in a car wash while at work. Apparently it crushed his whole foot. HUGE loss for B'ville, but I still think they will pull through.

ya hockey fan there are junior gold b teams that can beat a teams. and some organizations like rave and lakeville dont have an a team and they play b. plus me and rbk19 have played 2 years of holy angel high school together in their prime years, being last ones cut, i dont kno much about ur hockey experience but am betting that we would skate circles around u and whatever line ur on. kids that got cut from the holy angels team our sophmore and junior year while we were on it are team captains sniping PLEASE BAN ME for teams like burnsville junior gold A (we kno the two captains personally), and last time i checked burnsville A is one of the best teams. so maybe u should do some homework before u bash a league that has players that are better than u

To get things back to the topic of this thread..........I think Osseo is starting to emerge as a sleeper.

They have a solid #1 line but all 3 lines forecheck pretty hard. Goalie isn't bad either.

As dumb as it may sound there is actually some fairly good talent on JG B. I mean, it's not the best hockey but if you actually watch/play in those games there are about 3-5 players per team that could probably play on A, but either chose not to or may have been hurt. There are many reasons that they aren't playing on a better team.

I totally agree mv. Alot of the top tier teams are pretty solid and have good players.

i guess edina shouldnt be on this topic anymore considering they r undefeated in conference play

note: The White Bear Lake tourny should show if wessys are a serious underdog or not... For me i am excited to play teams such as Edina, roseville, lakeville, burnsville(again), and Hudson. And if edina is really undefeated in conference that would be awsome if our team could upset them...

OMG has begun to creep along in the metro and are looking pretty good, heard they lost to rave by 1, id put my money on them to cause some comotion come playoff time.
buffalo looks alright too.
ive lost a little hope in burnsville after they lost to crow river (i heard it didnt count cause there werent "official" refs there, but still my team beat them 11-0), and they lost to north st paul by 4.

I saw the Wessy vs. RAVE game tonight and was impressed by the Wessy goalie. The RAVE had a couple of players that had some well placed-hard shots and their goalie came up strong. He was pretty good at recovering quickly and handling rebounds, too.
Of course he had help from his defense who played chippy in the slot; several slashes to attacking forwards and one blatant net knocked off with RAVE forwards jumping on the loose puck. (it's too bad that some players resort to that kind of busch league behavior. Be a hockey player and play the body - don't cheat to stop a scoring chance.)
All and all - I was impressed with them. They weren't as fast as some of the RAVE players but they played physical, gritty hockey and worked hard every shift. They never gave up and tied the game with 10 seconds left.
Hard working teams can go far.

I would say Rave has a more rounded team than wessys does. However as a player on wessys i felt that it wasnt our greatest game, and from a players perspective Rave did a good job of shutting our scoring rushes down. Hard work got the tying goal, and the game went both ways as for chances. I hope to play Rave again later in the season to see how the two teams have matured.

i take it back on the north st paul. a burnsville player informed me otherwise today, said that they won the game, must be an error on metrohockeyleague.com
sry bout that

I think SSP has a shot because they have some talented players and a great goaltender so it should be a toss up to who ever is in there district.
