Yeah, he's a bulk of their power play actually. If they get you 5-on-4 it really becomes a 2 man game for them... Either Joe Rubbelke works his way through traffic to the net, or they work it around the zone until Krueger can let loose with a shot from the point.

It's kind of funny, because even though they don't draw huge crowds, if you go to a game at Phalen and a pass gets over to him with an open lane to the net, you can hear buzz... everybody knows what's coming.

Oh, and by my count (checking my handy-dandy Johnson hockey schedule, which I have conveniently posted at my desk here at work! :D ), as of Wednesday, they're now 1-4-1 in OT this year - not 1-3-1 as was printed in the article (I'm sure it was written before Wednesday night) so the train keeps rollin'!

IS, care to take a stab at who the one win was against?

Yuk it up... your boys didn't even have the grapes to step on the ice with the Govs this season. At least IS' Pirates were men enough to be able to step forward and meet their fate.

Too bad that Johnson will be losing both Krueger and Rubbelke for next season.

The "grapes" are still there & we hope to put them on display with the Govs come sections.

We "hope" you make it past the first round but we "fear" that may never happen.

Most everybody here thought the same thing about HM in the Tourney last year. :D

But anyway...

I honestly hope Johnson gets HM in the sections - even if it means a loss. To me, it just isn't Johnson hockey season until the Pioneers make an appearance.

Given the free-fall Stillwater is on, the Govies will be looking at the #5 seed & will see their buddies from Tartan in the 1st round. Snoopy & the gang out for a little payback from earlier his year. Could be fun.

I feel upset...everywhere in this section.

I'd feel "upset" too if I were anyone other than Hill Murray.
