Any News on the new arena yet seen a concept drawing on the umd website. Will they demo the decc or have the decc and the new one?

The new Duluth arena sounds like it will be included in the bonding bill. Duluth needs a new arena, because the DECC is a pit. I also heard the St Cloud remodel is not. The NHC desperately needs to be expanded and updated.

This project is actually a remodel and facility expansion (not just for hockey). Its not really a new rink or arena, although from the sounds of it it will be quite an overhaul.

The new rink is Heritage Arena - that project is nearing the end of construction and will be open in a month or so. (See link above from the EREmpire)

Well gentlemen, you're all right. From the looks of it crease control and ozzie679 are talking about the proposed DECC Expansion that is currently included in the Governor's proposed bonding bill for 2008 and would provide funding for a new "Duluth Arena" on the DECC property and would become the new home for the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs. EREmpireStrikesBack and PuckRanger are talking about the new Duluth Heritage Center that is currently being constructed on the old Clyde Iron site on Michigan Street in West Duluth. This facility has been in the works ever since Peterson Arena burned down leaving the Duluth youth hockey programs very strapped for ice time. More on this rink can be learned through the link posted by EREmpire. The pics posted by ozzie679 are of the proposed new Duluth Arena at the DECC.
