West has a chance to prove they are for real. Will they respond? Both teams matchup well against each other. This one will come down to goaltending in my estimation.

Bruggeman is hot. The only time pucks are going in is when he is out of the net

I say 3-0 West

If Bruggeman continues his streak of solid goaltending the west forwards, from what I have seen, should be able to get a few past Scudamore. If not west could be in for a game they haven't seen since AL

4-2 West...Same thing as most other people are saying goaltending will most likely be the deciding factor and the game is in mankato

The comment about the ref's from thew West/Mayo game doesn't make sense. With those sort of ref's, The more disciplined team will have an advantage. Lourdes is very disciplined, although West showed that they can be somewhat disciplined in the AL game (aside from a couple dumb plays and a VERY late shot after the game). I still go with West in this one 5-3.

but leivermann has a game @ austin first. he has to get out of that one without another suspension before he can play against lourdes.

Lourdes has a tendancy to give up a lot of goals; STA 9, Denfield 8, Blake and New Prague 5 each. In 8 of their 19 games they've given up 4 or more goals and have in 5 of their last 9. Lourdes won't take penalties like Mayo did which will help but they also don't have the goalie Mayo did which won't.

West by a field goal in a game that will bear more resemblance to my mens league games defensively than any high school hockey game this year. 9-6.

Both these teams are evenly matched with one exception. Both smaller, VERY fast and offensive, with decent defensemen, but West's goalie is (from what i've seen) much better than Scudermore(sp). West's goalie is on a streak right now and that will be the x-factor in this game. still looking forward to one of the best southern minnesota games of the year. hopefully it's a packed house in Kato
