Question. Who comes up with these rankings for Class A? SSP beat Mahtomedi twice this season and will most likely be ranked ahead of them come section time. How is Mahtomedi ranked 10th but SSP is ranked 14th?

So St Paul has beaten the likes of Tartan and Cloquet each by a goal. Decent AA teams this year at best. No one else on their schedule to brag about. Mahtomedi has Blake, Burnsville, Stillwater, Eastview, Tartan by 2, losing by 2 to hill instead of 7.

Sure, So St Paul beat Mahtomedi twice, but each was only by a goal. That's also the only claim they have over them. Head to head winnings isn't enough to put you over another team.

Well Tartan beat Hill Murray. So Tartan can't be half bad. If you can't beat the team below you, atleast once, you shouldn't be ahead of them. That sounds like a problem to me. What makes Burnsville and Stillwater better than the teams SSP played? Go by common opponents and SSP is above Mahtomedi.

Plus since when has Stillwater been an opponent that you brag about if you beat?

And like saying you beat SSP is a huge feather in your cap. SSP would be permanantly on the bottom of the SEC enjoy it while you still have a Team. Good Luck with Park tonight.

Pucknutz,

Beating SSP in it's glory days was a huge feather in a teams cap, actually. Now days, we don't have kids, our youth program is combining with Inver Grove Heights. SSP has always been an older community and it's showing now with the low participation numbers with the youth.

I agree totally with you. But we aren't in the Glory Days now are we?
