My two cents...it could very well be their year. They're very good. They will be seriously tested though...won't be easy.

This should be a great Playoff Season! It is anybody's year from this point forward other then maybe Section 1AA which seem to have some of the weaker teams represented. But as the famous line goes "Any team can beat any team on any given Sunday..." Should be fun to watch all the outcomes and upsets!

Can Roseville win it? Why not. They are as good as any team in the State. But the real question is can any team can win on any given Sunday? Doesn’t look that way from the brackets. Only one game so far can you call an upset. The Blaine Coon Rapids 7 seed over a 2 seed. I’m sorry a 5 over a 4 seed can hardly be considered a upset.

Can Roseville win it? Yes. That wasn't the question of the thread. I expect they will be in final hunt.
I think there were two obvious upsets yesterday. Coon Rapids and Moundsview. 7 over 2 and 6 over a 3 respectively. I agree that Coon Rapids was a bigger upset but only slightly. However you look at both Coon Rapids and Moundsview records and clearly these were both upsets.
Good luck to both in their matchup!

Well I watched that tape delayed broadcast of GRG in the Edina Holiday tournament and was quite impressed with the Lightning. They look like a legit and strong contender for all the marbles to me as well. With apologies to the fans of the various teams throughout the state, as a metro resident I'm hoping for both Bemidji and GRG to return to St. Paul for my chance to see them play. Several impressive players for GRG.

To go all the way, I feel you need solid goaltending, preferably from a senior who has been through battle, solid and disciplined defense, and a good line and a half up front with a balance of speed and shooting.
Roseville is very good at neutralizing an opponents offense by forcing shots to the outside and playing very tough in front of their net. Their goaltending is also solid. On the other side of the ball they have some speed and scoring with a couple of very good young players. I was skeptical until I saw how good they were defensively. They have a great chance but first they have to go through some very strong tests in 4AA.
