I looked on the big 9 website and two things confused and stood out to me.
1) Century has a forfeited loss to Faribo, why? This doesnt seem like a good idea considering how tight (not necessarily a good thing) 1AA is and this W/L could be the difference from a 3 to a 6 seed. If it was weather why wouldnt they make up the game rather than forfeit?
2) Jordan Yaggy was said to have a torn ACL a week ago. I see he played, and played very well against AL the other night. Was the tear a false alarm, or is he playing through this injury and going to try and lead his team to state while injured?
Answers would be appreciated, thanks

Only thing I can think of for #1 is that Century doesn't have any open dates for the game with the exception of Friday, which wouldn't be a grand idea since Century will be a day between the battle for the third seed (v. Mayo) and their Saturday makeup v. Roseville. Since the Faribo game was rescheduled twice, maybe they did a coin flip?

Not sure about Century's situation. As for Yaggy I have heard that he does not have anything wrong with his acl.

My guess is that the Century coaches would rather play a ranked AA team to prepare for the playoffs and are not concerned about their seeding much.
Not sure about Yaggy, but he looked sharp last night, which is a good thing for Mayo heading into the playoffs.

I'm suprised the Big Nine didn't make them play it, Faribault is geting hosed in the deal. A win looks better than a forfeit and Faribault is fighting for a seed with La Crescent and Northfield. A win over an AA school from Rochester would be impressive come seedings. There's been bad blood between these two team for years and I can see Century sticking it to Faribault.

You would have to find a date. Saturday's game vs. Roseville will have no impact on seeding since it will be done for both sections. Monday would also have had no impact on seeding.
With that being said, when were they supposed to play? Friday night would not have helped the Falcons and would have hosed Century, forcing them to play 3 straight nights.

really in my opinion, it would be a pointless game, other then building on the two teams recent battles. it really doesnt matter what seed faribault gets cause they are gonna have to beat the best eventually and the top 5 teams are all state contenders. also a pointless game for century, really doesnt matter how they end up in big 9 cuz they have some momentum going into sections. also, how would that help them in sections? they win big then no progress and if they lose....it can really only hurt them with games thursday and saturday.
