Sounds like a good deal to me. I know most of the hotels are filled right around the X. Ill be at the Crowne plaza which is abouta 7 min. walk down the skyway to the Xcel. 175 a night for 2 adults. not cheap by any means but a very nice hotel connected to the xcel.

Woodbury is only about a 15 minute drive from the Xcel Energy Center. Not sure of pricing, but another hotel not downtown but 5-10 minutes from the Xcel is the Holiday Inn off I-94 and McKnight Road.
