Well, I picked Alexandria to win it all in my single a master bracket prior to playoffs. I need them to win the game, I want them to win the game. I ask that you overcocky, overhyping Alexandria fans can just cheer hard and be proud tomorrow. I hope Aledandria repeats their 2-0 win that they had against Breck earlier in the year. Good luck to both teams and go Cardinals!

Thanks, boblee! I wish your team the best of luck tonight. Keep in mind that 99% of us Alexandrian's are behaving ourselves. If I knew who cardswinagain was I'd probably unplug his/her computer so they wouldn't be able to keep making us look bad. Your team has its share of boisterous fans too! I sat by a couple of them last night.

Hey guys! I think that Breck has a chance to win. They may not have won earlier in the season but anything can happen in the playoffs.

Yes, you all showed class when 90% of you, booed Roseau when they came on the ice. I liked Alex until that point. Go Breck.

Seen and heard far worse at hockey games than booing. I can't, in good conscience, cheer for a private school. Alex reminds me a little of Cloquet a few years ago, getting outshot but with a little more offensive firepower. They take advantage of their opportunities as they did on the pp today. Go Cards

if i do recall myself i think i've seen roseau fans do many things worse than booing before at hockey games, i thought roseau is a northern team, arent they used to this kind of treatment? Maybe only guys games are that way i guess.......

hockeypuck2, that may have been uncalled for, but then again, it was the student section. Its high school students for gods sake. SSP booed alex when they came out for warmups! Breck was still cheering pretty loudly after they had scored like their 6 or 7th goal.... a bit uncalled for.
If you decide to cheer for breck, than suit yourself, because I think the entire alex community(fans, players, coaches) is classier than Breck.

Everyone at the state tournament is classy but Breck is one of the classiest.

Now you could not have been at an MSHSL event because after all they give the Sportsmanship Tip of the Month - DECEMBER
# The Spectator…
1. Keeps emotions and attitudes balanced.
2. Appreciates a good play, no matter who makes it.
3. Knows the school gets the blame or the praise for his/her conduct.
4. Speaks up when others are being "poor sports".
And...
MSHSL Bylaw 409, RESPONSIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATING TEAMS, STUDENTS AND SPECTATORS, speaks to this issue, directly, and Bylaw 409-2 specifically states that, “School officials shall be held responsible for the proper conduct of teams, team members, students and home spectators regardless of where the contest is being held.”
In all MSHSL activities, each participating school shall designate a person or persons from that school to serve as crowd control supervisors or chaperones. MSHSL tournament staff may require school administrators to contact the tournament manager prior to the start of the tournament game so that they can be immediately contacted to respond to behavioral issues regarding their team members, students and/or spectators at the tournament site. Each supervisor or chaperone should be immediately identifiable to the students and to the tournament site ushers and other security personnel. This will help to coordinate crowd control between school supervisors and tournament site personnel.
MSHSL MINIMAL BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS FOR REGULAR AND POST-SEASON TOURNAMENT COMPETITIONS:
*
Respect the American flag and the National Anthem.
*
Spectators must wear clothing that covers the entire torso. Those who do not comply or who wear clothing that is vulgar, obscene or that in some other way inappropriate, as determined by school/tournament personnel, will be removed from the arena/stadium if they do not cooperate with this behavior expectation.
*
The use of appropriate language is expected at all times. Profanity, negative chants, booing, trash talk, name calling, personal attacks or other acts of disrespect are unacceptable and must be immediately addressed by school and/or tournament administrators.
*
Respect the game/contest. Under no condition shall anyone other than the members of the official squad enter the playing surface. No one may interfere with the contest in any way.
*
Hand held signs, which do not obstruct the view of others, will be permitted provided they are in good taste. Signs, message boards, “white” boards or other similar items contest/tournament officials deem to be in poor taste will be removed.
*
Artificial noise makers (i.e. megaphones, cowbells, sirens, whistles, thunder sticks, and other similar items) are not allowed.
*
Laser lights are strictly prohibited.
THANK YOU for supporting your student athletes and fine arts participants and for providing a positive environment in which educational activities are conducted.
It would be illegal for any of that behavior to be at the game. If you would just read the rules...everything would be fine.

The big question?
WILL JUSTICE BE ABLE TO CARRY ALEX AGAIN?
Justice has unfair advantage!

I don't think there are too many Alex fans that could be over confident, over cocky or over hyping (your words) Alex fans after watching the first 2 periods of the Breck/Austin game. I don't think Austin is in the same class as Roseau, Alex and Breck but Breck did look overly dominant in that game.
Alex looked like they were in slow motion in the first and second periods against Roseau and if they lose all the races to the puck against Breck, they will get killed. If Alex can come out skating like they have all year, should be a first class game. GO CARDS!!!!

Congrats to Alex, missed the game as I was in the truck in SD. Was it back and forth, up and down and as good as the pre-game hype??

I was there. It was not back and forth. Breck controlled 85% of the game. JUSTICE for all. She was outstanding. Very strong back. She did carry this team. Congrats.

Alex also played solid TEAM defense, covering Breck players near net and keeping them to the outside. Guess it's not how many shots you take, but what you do with them

Thanks for the input Tribe and Puck2. I was able to listen to the game on the radio through the first half of the first period and it sounded like it was back and forth, up and down hockey. I'll have to wait for the Tournament DVD to come out to watch the game. All in all, a great season for Alex and their Seniors. So is Justice the tournament MVP in Class A?????????

That's funny. The Alex "fans" have shown their class on this board, especially Gocards and cardswinagain or whatever she calls herself. And for you to say that the Alex community, fans and coaches are classier than Breck, other than being a bit ridiculous, leads one to believe that you know a little something about the Breck community and IF that is the case then you know you are lying. Or it could mean you are the Alex family that actually sent two of your kids to Breck, FOR FREE, so you should zip it and really read the classless things you have posted on this board and then try to say what you said agin with a clear conscious.
*You really shouldn't use the word class because it is crystal clear you don't know what it means.
