What do you think would be the best skates right now to purchase?

I've heard that the announcer at the Aldrich arena is partial to the RBKs while 64% of the Burnsville superfan club and the Rosemount zamboni driver like the Bauers.

Ohh and Chuck Norris doesn't wear skates. They have yet to create a metal tough enough to handle his accelleration.

Definitely not any of those skates. You don't need the most expensive skates to get a good pair of skates that are right for you. I find all of these skates too stiff and I don't like the super-lightweight skates. I bought a pair of Nike Flexlite 9's three years ago and fell in love with them. They are the only skates I have purchased since then, and I have tried on or skated with almost every one of the top skates the past couple years. But that is just my opinion.

Not true, Chuck prefers these since he doesn't deal with ice too often.

Greatest? C'mon - He was 5th on the list that was generated a few months ago. He didn't even grow up in Roso or Edina for pete's sake

He's from Parry Sound Ont, No helmut, no visor, he scored, he passed, he hit, and most importantly, HE FOUGHT without Marty McSorley or Dave Semenko and if his knees did NOT fail him he is the best hockey Player of all time.

Koho- Im leaning torwards the pumps but I do like the One90's, I just heard they were extremely hard to break in, is that true?

Grafs are the best skates I've ever worn. Comfortable, light, and protective.

yes they are a rock to break in, but get them baked right outta the box and make sure you get a snug fit. The fit is unbeleivable and the feel is great so the break-in process does not kill your ankles.

Generally how long does it take to break in a pair of one90's?

i bought them last summer(August), played twice a week in a mens league, and open skates twice a week, had them baked twice and they were great by october. I would just say to get them baked right outta the box and get a tight fit. Easily the best performing and quality skates i have ever used.

The Ovechkins. Haha my god are those things ugly as sin.... As are the RBK 9K white ones. And any pair of skates with those stupid t-blades or whatever. Best skates? Vapor XXXX

I have heard good things about the new CCM's. My XXXX's are the most uncomfortable skate I have bought (aside from the 9k which has a weird bottom). I wont be too quick to blame the skate yet though cause I think the guy at gold medal measured me wrong or something. Does anyone elses arch in the boot hurt?

The RBK 9K pumps are the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. The first time I used them they were broken in instantly, extremely comfortable, and fairly light. A great skate.

The black CCM Vectors are very comfortable and lightweight and not to mention Alex Ovechkin wore them.

Had to get in on this one, I agree with skiumah about Grafs. They are the most comfortable skate I have worn, and they really are pretty light as well.
