Who's going to take this section?

Rosemount. They will have the momentum going into this game, because during the whole Cretin Rosemount game they were not down at all. Morgan stood on his head tonight and that will follow going into this game. There was scoring from both the first and second line tonight, and that is always a good thing to see. If Rosemount comes out like they did vs. Cretin, and Morgan stopping all 34 shots tonight the Irish will win this game. Also I was right like I said going into the Cretin game, when Rosemount wins, the majority of their games are followed by wins.

The Irish will have their day. But, it won't be until March 17th when their season will be long over.

I kinda liked the joke and agree with the sentiment. Woodhood is a quality club that has been winning big games all year long. I like the Royals in this one. The old adage that a good player can't beat a good team comes to mind as I think of this matchup...

Woodhood by 2.

THIS SHOULD BE A GREAT SECTION FINAL.

KEYS:
If Woodbury can contain Rosemounts cherry pickers this will be a Great game! They will need to get some scoring from their 2nd and 3rd lines. Score on the power play as Rosemount will take penalties. Gotta find a way to keep Eddy freed up to make some plays.

Rosemount played awesome team defense tonight .. I'm not sure who counted shots tonight (little high both sides), but Morgan didn't have to make to many tough saves because of that great team def. They will also have to stay out of the box. Woodbury really collapses hard on there PK, so could see one of those bullets from Brown going in from the point on the power play.

I will definately be their for this one!

Wouldn't a comeback victory (like Woodbury's) over a very good team give them more momentum?

by the one to love
then again Rosemount is coming off of a shut out, after being scored upon several times late in the year.

It doesn't work that way. That's like saying Woodbury will win if they play really well and stop Brown, Percy, and Porter and beat McManus

Who is supposed to be the favorite in this game? I see Woodbury is a game better record wise, but how does the talent match up? I saw Rosemount play earlier this year and liked what I saw. I'll be at the game, but I was wondering who "Should" win this game. Rosemount has the number one seed, maybe that answers my question? Or are they pretty even?

I would like Rosemount to take it....but have too often read the excuse of off night or bad game in regards to their play

I think their legacy will be the best team to never make it....the woulda coulda's

Hope I'm wrong, some real talent there...

Yes that is very true, Morgan played a great game, and he will play a great game thursday. Rosemount has the confidence that their going to win, because Woodbury had to come back, and win. I give the Royals props, it was a great game. I just don't think the will take one over the Irish. They played well as a team, and that will follow into this next game.

For your information, Rosemount scored the winner against Woodbury with 16 seconds remaining in the game. Besides, the game was Nov. 29th so you can't really put much into that.

Rosemount dominated this game at the beginning leading 4-0 but let woodbury eat away at that margin. Yes the goal was with 16 seconds left but it was a win. Should be a great final at the coliseum thursday night!!

for your information i knew that they won with 16 seconds left. and also for your information a high school hockey game is 51 minutes long. not 50 and a half. it makes no sense to me that people think woodbury will win because they lost only with 16 seconds left in that other game. its a W, whether the winner is with 16 seconds left or with 16 minutes left. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THEY THINK THE DIFFERENCE IS. another thing that annoys me is how since the game was in november we cant count it, yet march madness thinks somehow last year's results help woodbury in some fashion.

I never said that you can't count the game from back in November. I just meant that you can't put much into it.

I also never said that Woodbury will win because they lost with only 16 seconds left in November.

The playoffs are a brand new season. Every team starts at 0-0.

Good luck to both teams in the game that really counts.

woodbury having played well last year and came up with an upset overtime win will help their confidence and mentality going into this game. rosemount, on the other hand, may feel a little out of place not having played in a section final game in im not sure how long. experience can have huge impacts on games.
