Do you know who got All State?

I don't remember all of them but it was very sad to see Grogan on the stage by herself when the "AA" All State team was being announced.

She was All State HM.

being that the banquet was/is today, i am sure the list cannot be found anywhere yet.

Also I don't know that this list is publicized anywhere, so unless you were there and remember the 60 plus names A & AA, it would be hard to come up with a list.

Not quibbling about any of the All State selections; but isn't it a bit unusual that Ms.Goalie is on the Honorable Mention list for LPH?

It's unusual but remember this is the All State team voted on by the Minnesota Girl's High School Coaches Association not LPH. Ms Goalie and Ms Hockey were nominated by the coaches but according to Wally Shaver yesterday the staff and DI and DIII coaches in Minnesota and Wisconsin vote on the Ms awards. LPH has nothing to do with the All State team.

Last year a number of bored members suggested that a printed list be made available after the banquet - apparently the MGHCA decided not to do this or someone didn't have time. I tried to write them down but they go pretty quick. The above list looks pretty comprehensive.

I think the AP team is released today which is put out by the AP sports writers across the state. I'm not sure about the Pioneer Press list.

Historically, is it unusual for a Ms. Goalie to be named H.M.? Also, if anyone has access to easy info, either written or by memory - is it historically unusual for a Ms. Goalie and team to not make a top place at the Tournament and/or not make it to the All Tournament team?

The A and AA All Tournament information is available on your school's Girls Hockey MSHSL website, along with cumulative stats for both A and AA tournament games.

Allie Thunstrom's (Ms.Hockey) NSP team didn't make it to state her senior year. Neither did Blaine last year (Nixon) or Hill-Murray when Emily Brookshaw won. I don't think the two are related.

I’ve never understood why they post a AA and a A list. These are individual honors. Why should it matter what Class you participated in. They don't separate for Ms Hockey. Have one All State team and then extend the HM list to include all of those deserving recognition
