Do you guys think TRf is the favorite for next year? They do have almost everyone coming back including Zane Gothberg and for another year after that. What do you think?

Yes, they will be a favorite. We should probably wait until the state tourney is over before we get too excited about next year. I am very optimistic however.

East Grand this year and next year, maybe even a three-peat.
Warroad has no chance.

Should be one of the contenders next year, but i wouldnt say a clear cut f avorite. After next year they lose aandahl and dillon,it will be gothberg by himself because whats left is very, very average and very, very slow.Hats off to tim for getting this squad to be .500 but he might still have some challenges ahead to get this thing turned around, poor numbers and very little skill at the youth levels.

Your projecting out until the 2009-10 season already. C'mon! It is bad enough to be talking about next season already. I heard that TRF is really screwed in 8 years because their pee-wee's are having trouble moving the puck and appear to be one big blob as they move around the ice. TRF has a lot of work to do if they want to be comptetitive in 2016!

Apparently not.
I know it's a long ways away, but I'm going to give my preseason projection for next year. Why? Because I'm bored. A lot of this stuff depends on the 10th and some 9th graders coming in.
1. TRF - Only lose 2 players (Langan, S. Johnson). Still have Gothberg and a good senior class. 9th and 10th graders this year got a lot of experience.
2. Warroad - Lose Ravndalen, that will hurt more than some may realize. Lose others like Hahn, McDonald, Hellquist, Paquin. They will have a good senior class though. One question: Who's in net? Goldsmith? Yikes.
3. EGF - They better have a good goalie coming in. Lose A LOT of seniors this year.
4. Bemidji - Got Dudgeon back. Had a good soph. class this year.
Doesn't matter much past this point
5. Crookston - Grove back, not losing much.
6. Park Rapids - Lose LEHRKE, smith, hensel, tolle, knapp, winkler.
7. Lake of the Woods - Lose Usiski...ouch.
8. Kittson Central - No more Lindegard to keep them in games.
9. Red Lake Falls - Same old RLF.
10. Bagley - This would be the year for Bagley to get out of the cellar.
11. Walker - Were young this year.
Nothing new...It will come down to Warroad, TRF, and EGF.

Yeah haven't you learned they will import about 5-6 players, give their dad a job at Marvin Windows and give their mom hundreds of dollars worth of coupons for area businesses.

Warroad sends out the "plane" and brings in recruits from east to west, north to south and pays Ogee's boy's to play for the black and gold, but it all comes up short and PR goes back-to-back!
