1AA - Lakeville South (new blood, makes Mayo look better)
2AA - Burnsville (I am anti-cake)
3AA - Rosemount (hardly been there)
4AA - WBL (Hill has made it way too much)
5AA - Centennial (only been there once)
6AA - Minnetonka (too late...congrats BSM)
7AA - Anoka (best team left)
8AA - Roseau (state's best)

1A - Mankato West (new blood, anti-recruiting)
2A - Breck (tough call)
3A - New Ulm (they have a brewery there)
4A - So. St. Paul (old school)
5A - Denfeld (too late)
6A - Alexandria (don't like LF)
7A - Hibbing (go Iron Range)
8A - EGF (Warroad makes it enough)

Considering we live 200+ miles apart, it's weird that I agree with every one.

Cool. I was sad to see the Hounds lose to CEC. It has been too long since they have been to St. Paul.

Nothing, really, but I have a connection to Alex and they haven't been there in a long time.

1AA - South (I want to see if their goalie can pull a Kangas like performance)
2AA - Edina (Giles can win a title then ride off in the sunset)
3AA - The Irish (New blood and they could be a sleeper to win it)
4AA - WBL (To see if they can finally win a first round game)
5AA - Centennial (They have a nice little shut out run at the X and it would be fun to see if they can continue it)
6AA - Already got my wish BSM (They beat SSM and now everyone watching will be reminded of that)
7AA - Cloquet (Sorry East, but I like to see northern representation)
8AA - Already done but again my wish came true (I always like to see an opportunity for a repeat and a undefeated season)

1A - West (lourdes is ruining Rochester Public School hockey)
2A - Blake (Lesser of 2 evils)
3A - New Ulm (Better chance of having a decent showing)
4A - SSP (I don't like St. Thomas Acad.)
5A - Again, got my wish (St. Cloud does not get represented enough)
6A - Little Falls (I want to see the Hanowski bros one last time)
7A - Wish did not come true (Hibbing is what hockey is all about)
8A - Green Wave all the way!!! (Opens up a top 4 seed for someone like LF or Mankato West)

SEminnhockeynut, i agree with all of your picks. I think itd be really sweet if Rosemount or South St. Paul can make it and wouldve really liked it if Bville and Hibbing couldve escaped their OTs on the other side

1AA - no one
2AA - Edina and Bloomington
3AA - no one
4AA - Hill Murray, no use White Bear going and losing in first round again.
5AA - Blaine or Centennial
6AA - Eden Prairie
7AA - Elk River and Duluth East
8AA - Moorhead or Roseau

I like those 8. They make a classic/high profile tournament. No use having the no namers like Lakeville, Tartan, Minnetonka in there. But there is always 1 or 2 each year.

I don't get it. Why do you throw Minnetonka under the bus? I'm glad for BSM--they're a good team and will play exciting hockey at the X. Although I lean toward public schools and Minnetonka would play just as well as BSM and better, I believe, than EP. Would have liked to see them make it.

The "Show" is MLB, the "Dance" is NCAA, we need to come up with something original for this.

1AA - Lakeville North, Randy Schmitz is desipsed every year. I don't get it, his success is pretty darn good. Every time I've talked to him he's a great guy. A title will hold his critics back again.

4AA - WBL, 1 private is enough

7AA Cloquet, we need more than 1 outstate school

1A West, PUBLIC SCHOOLS
2A, the bus has a flat on the way to the X
3A, New Ulm, their paper covers hockey, unlike most
4A, SSP, if only they could play JM.....ah the nostalgia
8A, Warroad needs to be AA, I'lll never cheer for them. They might as well be a private.

Eden Prairie a classic high profile team? How many times have they made it to state? How many times did they fail to make it when they were the favorites? How have they done at state? They are 1-4 in the first round, 2-8 overall. For the record, Minnetonka is 1-4 in the first round, and 5-6 overall. EP is not even close to a classic high profile team.

Good point...It was a spontaneous post last night.

Why no picks for 2AA, 3AA, 5AA, etc? Just curious.

Cheer hard for West tonight.

I guess I dont understand what people mean when they say "South-to see if there goalie can pull a Kangas like performance." I wasnt at the state games when he played but they did go two and out so I would rather see a performance like the goalie from Centennial when they won it. I think he had a shut out the whole tourny. Unless he gave up 1 in the championship game I dont remember.

How about "THE SKATE"

Kangas had more saves in one game than the Centennial goalie had in the whole tournament. I believe he set records for most saves in one peoriod or a whole game. Something like that. I am pretty sure if South plays Roseau or Edina, he will have an opprotunity to see Kangas like shots numbers.
